If it helps, wasn't planning on doing this with my purchase which was ($600.00) but clicked, and read through the info, and decided apply. I did it and within seconds I was approved for $1200.

I would imagine it's like any other credit offering company, if you have decent to excellent credit, meaning no collections, charge-offs, bankruptcies or other "high risk" things on your report, you would be approved instantly. Some have security issues and thats why they have to call or have a few days wait, the rest are probably high risk and have a high probability of denial. If you have not heard back in a month--like some other poster claims, chances are you were NOT approved.

I was approved almost immediately & given a page to "start shopping" with the credit limit I had been approved for. I love the flexibility of the way I can make payments. I'm disabled & can't "go" shopping so Amazon has been a life & $$ saver for me, I just make 2 "pay-off" pmts. a month on the card, no matter what the balance is, it's always paid off monthly. That's the best way to do it for me anyway, that way i won't have to worry about interest.

Still waiting and I have excellent credit rating! It's been about 5 days.
Never waited to get credit card before and don't see where I get information on why the delay.

It took a couple of weeks to hear back. I already have three Chase cards, and they suggested transferring part of the credit line from one of those to the Amazon Rewards card, which I was hoping I could do anyway. I'm very pleased.

I applied last night and haven't been contacted or anything. My credit is perfect by the way. I wanted to use the $50 off instantly but its not so instant if it takes a month. lol
