Yea that's what I seen and here ...I only had the card for 3 months so I'm hope I can get one before 6 months ...will update if I do

try using the card to near its limits several times a month and paying it off several times a month. If the card is paid on time and there are never any late payments, This shows the credit line provided is inadequate. Sometimes they will look at this information and increase your credit line or you can call them an explain to them what a pain in the $$$$ it is to keep paying it down two to three times a month and can you please have an increase to relieve the burden. After all if you are a good customer, they do not want to loose you. But be prepared to have a hard inquiry on your credit file if you ask for the increase! Approved or not, there's a good chance you will at least get the inquiry.

Amazon does an automatic increase from time to time. Last December I opened my account and had a $900 limit. Less than a year later I've got a $2200 limit. My credit is so so, but if you use it and pay it your limit will go up.

they've increased mine over the couple years i've had it but i never requested an increase. when they first gave me the card, i think i had a $2000 limit. they increased it to $4000 after a while, and just recently it went to $6500 which is odd because i've never used anywhere near that much.

Within a week, from 2k to 6k.

I think because I have a bank account with Chase, and... I have a very good history from Amazon and the Capital One's credit card(very very short but I spent a lot in last 4 months).

It is because of Chase... it took them 3 years to issue a credit card to me... yea 3 years since I first got my SS#.

Jack Wong says:
Last year I did email them, because 2000 is nothing, then I asked for 6k and they approved it.

As for this year, I didn't request for that.

I wanted to call customer service to ask for a credit limit increase but all i get is the automated messages. Is there a way to talk to a live person?

Astroman says:
I already had another Chase card and they were able to transfer that available credit to the Amazon card. Especially since I plan to cancel that (United Airlines) card as it is too hard to use the miles these days.
