I may have what you are looking for white crush
The influence is irish fiddle and relaxed electronica. It may be more "driving" than chillout, but you're welcome to give it a try.

Has anyone mentioned Sven Van Hees here? He brought a new one out recently "Exotica". Also check out Aim, "Flight 602", Karma, "Latenight Daydreaming", Laroca, "Friends In Faraway Places", Monte La Rue, "The End of the Rainbow", and Lemongrass' new 2 CD retrospective, "Beach Affairs"

I think "The Real Dionysus" is a pretty good mixture of nu-jazz, trip-hop, Drum n' Bass, etc.
You can also find other nu-jazz artists at http://www.last.fm/tag/nu-jazz/artists?page=2

Dexter, ...The real dionysus...Is that the artist or a comp cd??

In reply to an earlier post on Apr 20, 2009 9:17:19 AM PDT
The Real Dionysus is the artist / project. It is a "compilation" in that it features two different female vocalists on a couple of the tracks. All the music is composed by "The Real Dionysus." Think of Massive Attack or Thievery Corporation where they bring in a bunch of other artists to contribute to a track. Keeps it fresh.

Dexter, This is the mp3 download.....I want the real cd...The mp-3 files sound like crap on my stereo system. I'm kind of an audio snob too. Mike

Hmm, I have not seen the physical CD yet. I'm part of the iPod nation so I actually don't even look for the physical media anymore...

Nice dub sound. I could only get a 30 sec sample on Last.FM but I added it to my library. Hopefully I can hear more of it soon.
