I haven't checked in here recently, but yes that's Karma, not Kosma, but I like that one too. Karma is a production duo from Cologne, I believe. Their earlier album "Thrillseekers" is a must have. Alif Tree's new one is "Clockwork". It's okay, kind of inconsistent. I would recommend starting with "French Cuisine". If you like Sven Van Hees, you can get "Exotica" for a reasonable price from Quango Records' site. If you like that, Plastyc Buddha ("Throwing Stones in Shallow Pools") and Gerd ("High Wide and Wonderful") are on the same (now defunct) LEA label, if one can still find them...

There's a new artist by the name of Durojaiye Versatile, a good downtempo/ambient album. It's actually continuous, each track runs smoothly into the next. Give it a try.

I forget who wanted the trippy chill with the female vocals ( D Martinez ) ??? maybe..... but for anyone interested I think you might like an artist called UMAN they have two albums out (Purple Passage and You are here) great chill/ambient/downtempo with a lot beautifully haunting and trippy female vocals.

Hey D......... Glad to see you are still around here.........My Weekend Players is called Persuit of Happiness Do they have one called 21st century too???? I am going to check out the others you mentioned as well......Anyway You seem to have a like minded taste in music. I know I don't really know you but....We could set up this thing where we leave eachothers collection in the event of our untimely deaths or something>>>>>Unless you got someone else in mind???>>>>>>>Just kidding!!!

Dogen says:
Michael......Yea, always on the computer for something....Only one CD by Weekend Players, but the song I like, the first on the cd, is called 21st Century. The video is on Youtube also.
I do have a large collection of this kind of music, and keep adding to it, now more then ever. It seems to hold it's allure over time. I should have kept up cataloging it, but haven't done that. Maybe when I do, I'll share what I have..and it would take a better venue to communicate the depth of the library.

T. Davies says:
Well here are a few of my favourite artists - Glideascope and the album "Audio Cinematography" and the EP "With Strings Attached", some cool downtempo/global sounds mixed with orchestral strings, very cinematic. Also the group Digitonal and the album "Save your light for darker days" - ambient mixed with solo violin beautiful. Finally the group Zimpala - the track "Mismo" is superb!

Here are a few suggestions, go through the snippet though because some of them are a true mix of Electronic music.
Soultice - Illusion
Royksopp - Melody A.M (actually check all there albums)
Mylo - Destroy Rock and Roll ( Valley of the Dolls and Need You Tonight)
Nightmares on Wax has a couple of Downtempo tracks on various albums
Durojaiye Versatile - The Fermented Sessions
SweetBack (the production team that produced Sade)
I have a few more just have to get the name of them
