A. Martinez says:
Why Amazon is discriminating non US residents, blocking shipping devices, with Kindle ones?

We (people outside of US) are paying devices, taxes and also transportation fees, like US residents.

:) it comes down to the supply being less than the demand from the day of release people have had to wait for their order some longer than others. For the record I am in Australia and waited 3 weeks ordered on 09/01/2010 arrived on 09/20/2010, only breathing exercises will help with the wait time and checking out what books to buy or download free ready for the arrival. really not a conspiracy or discrimination

As an example, my order will be shipped in january 20th, and i ask for the device 2 weeks a go.
While this huge delay in shipping is being done to non US residents, people in US, can obtain its devices in two days.

People from Amazon, told me in their first answer that it was related with transportation, but a colleague of mine, bought a kindle in october and it was received in three days (to Spain)!!!, today a kindle device to reach Spain needs more than 9 weeks when the first 8 weeks are used to ship the device.

I know that i will not receive the device with a power adapter to spanish electricity network. I know that i will receive the american kindle version. In this case, which is the difference between a us residen or a non us resident?

I will try breathing exercises, but my friends suggest me to cancel my order and buy a SONY, which is much more expensive but this brand will not discriminate me for not being a US resident in Christmas.

To Amazon:

I will appreciate it if you truly explain why my selling account was suspended. Excuse me I don't understand this game with my account. So I expect truly explanation about this story.
I still feel like Amazon suspended me by my jewish nationality and I feel your way to descriminate me and my family.

Sincerely,
customer from 2008

@ Allanny, your paranoid question was answered in the thread you started.

Edit: Here it is again...

Don't talk crap and bring your religion into this!

Ever thought you personally may have stuffed up?

Credit card details etc.

BTW: You are talking to fellow Amazon Kindle users here and suggest you click the orange button on the right hand side of this page you are on now that says, "Contact Us".

Don't bring your religious argument rubbish into the question.

Stupid to say they are discriminating against you.
