I feel crazy, but I like reading about men w men. I find it very sexy a lot of times. I have read Ann Rice's Sleeping beauty series (wow!! Probably where I got the attraction) and have gotten into G.A. Hauser. Others out there with suggestions. No sci-fi, japanese anime, or wolves. Bondage & some non-consensual persuasion/ravishment is a plus.
thks!

Hey, thanks for pimping the group, booklover. :)

Rachel - If you will go to my Amazon profile, I have about 30 reviews of M/M books. If you click on any of those books' product pages, you'll see tons and tons of Listmania and "So you'd like to..." lists that will lead you to even more great M/M books.

I also have a blog that lists several e-book and print book publishers on the left sidebar under a heading entitled "Publishers & Stores". Most of the publishers have GLBT sections which consist of mostly M/M stories.

We can make lots of great recommendations on the Yahoo group. If you do join, be sure to introduce yourself. Don't be shy. :)

Almost everything published by Torquere Press is m/m romance and erotica. (They have some f/f stories, but it's not their core focus). I can also second MRL Press as a resource along with Loose Id, Samhain, and Aspen Mountain Press. Lethe Press is a small GLBT publisher (um, full disclosure: mine) with books that might appeal to you.

And some of the bigger GLBG houses like Cleis and Alyson publish m/m that is more romantic in nature.

J. P. Bowie says:
You're not crazy! m/m erotica is read principally by straight women. Go to total-e-bound.com and check out titles by Carol Lynne, J.P. Bowie, and many others.

Morgan Hawke, Rachel Bo, Treva Harte, and Jet Mykles are all good authors with this theme. I second the recommendation for "Loose Id"--they've got great stuff and look at Liquid Silver as well.

Ashia says:
Oh, I'm reading those right now! Anne Rice's Sleeping Beauty series and they are not for the feint of heart, for sure! I've only read the first now, just finished it, so how are the other two in the series, anyone have an opinion?

In reply to an earlier post on Aug 5, 2008 6:40:29 PM PDT
RachelMW says:
The other two are pretty hot--the man-on-man sex gets more predominant, the 2nd one especially. It's a big fantasy land where everyone is bi, healthy and beautiful.

BTW--thank you for the suggestions thus far, everyone!! Looking into a few--some are a bit more intense than what I am looking for, and some more gooey-romance-y. But do continue. I don't like Harlequin-type romance novels--like the ones that had Fabio on the cover and/or a southern belle in the arms of a Pirate, (you all know what I mean), so those type of books with a m/m romance are a no-go. Same with anything involving fairies and knights (sorry to be picky).

Ashia says:
haha thank you Rachel! I will for sure read the next two then.

and I don't think anyone has mentioned it, but Blood Red by Sharon Page. It's a vampire erotica, and has m/f/m, since the two males are brothers, but some scenes are m/m, with one of the brothers and his maker, I think. Not sure if that is what you are looking for, but it is one that I haven't seen mentioned. But Emma Holly and Rachel Bo, Morgan Hawke, Jory Strong I strongly second :]

You're not alone Rachel. I too love to read male-male romance and erotica. I also like polyfidelitous erotica with M-M-F. I think there are more of us out there than we realize.

I kind of stumbled onto it myself. I'm a big Evangeline Anderson fan. I accidently came across "The Assignment." From then on I was hooked. E.A. has several really good reads in this genre - checkout her website: evangelineanderson.com. Anyone read any of her stuff?

RachelMW says:
I just finished Capital Games-a link from a link...by Hauser. Kind of hokey in plot, but the sex scenes were great! Read this very quickly--I DO like stories of "first time same sex". I recommend it for the sex scenes, which are very hot and do the job... HOWEVER:
there were 3 female characters in the whole book, and all but one was made to look like a spoiled intolerable moron. Why? They did this a lot on Queer As Folk, too. Straight people characters were written as homophobic, loud, and intolerant.
I know it's just a fun fantasy book where the sex is most important, and QAF was just a fun show. But hey we're not all bad, y'know??

Ellie says:
I recently stumbled across Samantha Kane and absolutely LOVE her books. She covers the spectrum from M/M, MFM, to MMF - all in the same book! Although her books are full of action, she weaves in a compelling love story. I think that sets her apart from other authors who write thinly veiled porn. Her books are sold out on Amazon but can be purchased at ellorascave.com. My favorites are The Courage to Love (Book 1) and At Love's Command (Book 3). I didn't like Love Under Siege (Book 2) nearly as much. It lacked the emotion of the other two and felt repetitive of Book 1. Enjoy!

I write m/m/f and m/f/m in my Regency historicals for Kensington Aphrodisia. Simply Sexual is out now and Simply Sinful, wihch doesn't have a woman in it until chapter 4, is out in late Oct.
I'm a big fan of Samantha Kane and Emma Holly as well.
cheers

Denni says:
Kate Pearce...didn't mention your name earlier b/c I didn't remember any m/m, so thanks for the sneek peek at Simply Sinful which is already on my auto buy list.

Kate Pearce is one of my very favorites for her ability to blend quality writing skills with erotic elements. IMO we often get one or the other, but rarely both. Highly recommended.

And don't forget Dreamspinnerpress.com which offers great M/Ms like Cursed, To love a cowboy, Caught Running, Love ahead, Diplomacy, Sparks Fly.
Also Phaze and Lindenbayromance (Ransome and Winds of change are amazing M/Ms).
Personally I do not like the intrusion of female in any M/M relationship. It is no longer a M/M or gay relationship if there is a F.
And if you wish to get the most updated review or recommendation on any M/M novel, check out Elisa's
website "elisa-rolle.livejournal.com". Elisa has done a tremendous job giving all of us M/M lovers the latest news. I really appreciate her great effort.

Oh, Ellie, I've read the Samantha Kane series. My favorite was book 3 (which I read second!) I just love Ian and Derek. Plus this book gave us more information and background about the war and how everyone met each other. Did you read book 4, Love's Stategy? It was ok, but nothing like books 1 and 3.

I just checked her site and she's working on a book 5, RETREAT FROM LOVE, Brothers In Arms Book Five. She has an excerpt, too. Here's the link,

http://samanthakane.us/sneakpeeks.htm

Scroll down about 1/2 through the page.

I want to see a book featuring Michael, Lord Kensington, his lover (can't recall name), and Veronica. Hmmm, maybe I'll ask Ms. Kane about that....

L. Williams says:
Hey, your not alone! I'm also a straight female who likes to read gay or Yaoi books. I don't know if your into vampire novels but "The blood of Kings" and it's sequel "Blood Prophet" by John Michael Curlovich is good.
"Gaywick" by Vincent Virga is a good Victorian read.
Mark Roeder's books such as "A better Place" and "The summer of my discontent" are more "teen comming out" books but are still great stories. "Last summer" by Michael Thomas Ford, "Into this world we're thrown" and "Desert Suns" by Mark Kindrick.....also great books.

If your into reading Yaoi or boys love manga then some good titles are "Love Mode" , "Shout out loud" or "From Eroica with love" (the eroica with love manga is not a yaoi or boys love book but more comedic with a very flamboyant art thief (Dorian) who has a crush on a major (Eberbach) who tries to stop him. If your into classic manga comedy this is hilarious.)

I could go on forever listing more and more great books but I'll stop here for now.
Hope this helps!!

booklover0226 - I downloaded Love's Strategy as an eBook and like you was quite dissappointed. It was more of a novella and much too brief for the characters or story to fully develop. I never connected with them or bought into their emotions. I'm really excited to read Freddie and Brett's story and I hope Book 5 delivers.

Very's story will include Michael and Wolff. But how can it get better than Jason, Tony, Ian and Derek!
