Nan's Heritage Series takes place in the 1800s. It begins with Book I, Nan's Journey. It is the story of a fifteen year old girl who runs away from abuse with her five year old brother. They hide in the mountains of Colorado.
Book II, Elk's Resolve, continues the story. Twins separated at birth are reunited. Some of the issues confronted are depression and prejudice.
Book III, Luke's Legacy, is about adventure and how it can go wrong. A young man follows his dreams to see California while his little sister pines away in a dugout in Texas as a run away.
Book IV, The Eyes of a Stranger, introduces a mail-order bride who finds herself rejected by the man who 'ordered' her. She must find a way to survive when opportunities are limited for women.
Book V, Timothy's Home, is an adventurous read. From the stowaway story to a cattledrive and outlaw encounters as well as finding the love of a lifetime, this book wraps up the first part of this family saga.
Rescued...A Series of Hope
Book I, Some Happy Day, is the first book about the girls who were rescued from slavery in the Nan's Heritage Series. It has the back story for one of the girls and how her life changed after she was rescued.
Book II, Capture the Wandering Heart, is set in Palo Duro Canyon in Texas. There is a continuation of the Nan Saga with introduction to another family.
