I am surprised no one mentioned R.A. Salvatore. Especially since you originally posted you like youg adult. It is a huge series centerred around Drizzt it is definately a coming of age series.

I also highly recommend The Furies of Calderon by Jim butcher also a great coming of age series.

Black Jewels Trilogy by Anne Bishop was a really good one in my opinion. There are some parts that might offend some people (underage rape, etc..) but it was woven into the story in such a manner that it would have been a different story without it.

A mix of David Eddings and Jane Austen, try the Haanta Series for free here: https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/85800

If you like it, the Commander and the Den Asaan Rautu is the first novel in the series. Read the Look Inside feature before buying :D

I would recommend checking out "Gardens of the Moon" by Steven Erikson, first in the Malazan, Book of the Fallen series. It is far from perfect, and it's kind of a difficult read, but it is beautiful. You might want to tear your hair out about half-way through, but the way that Erikson handles his plot is kind of inspiring, and he ties his many threads together very well. Malazan is far from my favorite fantasy, but it is certainly worth the time it takes.

Your best bet is my new series:) Sorry to be bias, but you should check it out. Luke Banderloft and the McFarven Pirates...it kinda a cross between Neverending Story and Pirates of the Carabean.

Try "The Crystal Realm" the first book in this trillogy just came out on the 5th of September. the whole title is "The Crystal Realm Krytor's Return" My Friend wrote it, and sent it out to over 25 people for review prior to publishing with Createspace. Everyone so far has loved it. It's an epic urban fantasy with a difference, no werewolves, trolls or evlves etc. I recommend it, It's a good read.

Has no one mentioned Daggerspell (Deverry Series, Book One) by Katharine Kerr? I also second Fablehaven, it's a little young adult but very funny.

Elizabeth Loraine's series, Phantom Lives is AMAZING as well as her Royal Blood Chronicles. Phantom Lives Collier is the first book and Phantom Lives Power is the second of the series so far.

The Royal blood Chronicles starts with Katrina - The Beginning. The Royal Blood Chronicles is a YA vampire series. It's a fabulous one at that. It's not your traditional vampire or sparkling vampires. It's a series that you won't be able to put down. I PROMISE you will really enjoy it!

The Phantom Lives series is not your normal person. The characters have dreams and from these dreams, they find they have special abilities and destinies to fulfill. It's a story of friendship, love, sacrifices, death and immortality. This series as well, is a series that I couldn't put down! You will totally enjoy reading these books as well.

I'd recommend Waiting Game from the new fantasy series the Chronicles of Covent. This book is centered around an Unseen Assassin named Shade. Shade is a dark elf from the black forests of Jui-Sae, but I'd rank him right up there with Drizzt in terms of memorability. The writing style makes the scenes play out in your head and it includes some very cool artwork inside the novel. It can be found here or in Kindle Store:

So I saw. But self-promotion isn't allowed outside the MOA forum. It's Amazon's rules, and they say so in the KDP TOS.

Thanks.

Self-promotion is only allowed in the MOA forum, Nikki. Amazon set up the MOA strictly for that purpose. Please remove your post from here, and by all means put it into the MOA forum.

Thanks.
