could be the religious backgrounds and prejudices foisted upon us from birth. I was a male model at a community college art class and 95% of the "artists" were women and they looked and stared at first, just like the men. Women seem to exude the idea that a man's body (parts that stick out) is not nice (see discussion on "old men and speedos".

Jordan says:
Clothing covers a great deal of a mans body from when he wakes up to when he strips down to shower and go to bed. The psychological effect of being out of this norm weights considerably when in public. Even at a pool some guys won't take off their shirt.

Consider how revealing some women's clothing can be, It's not a very big jump to being nude in some cases. Society is just used to the image of men being more clothed. It's just a roaming thought in the consciousness of most people.

Dunno where you people are from...but in my life men were in shorts and shirtless, so I have been exposed to more male flesh than female on a day to day.

Agreed. Maybe it's a southern thing.

People aren't spreading the myth, men are spreading the myth. If you look around you everything is centered around what men want and what they want to see. Women are/and have been stupid enough to play into it and accept being exploited. You can't even teach young girls and teenage girls to respect themselves because their mothers are running around looking like hoochy mommas because they think its sexy. Women need to learn and realize Being Sexy is not wearing less clothes so you leave nothing to the imagination. Nor is it being naked. Its your attitude ladies. Its your personality. When most guys do want a women to care about, you see they don't pick the ones that show themselves every chance they get. They pick women who respect themselves and are sexy without taking their clothes off. Just ask any real man what they think is sexy and you will be surprised what they say.

Personally, I believe the human body (male or female) is a work of art in it's self.
I do wish more tasteful erotic photos of men would be available. There is plenty of smut and vulgar crap out there but not much of the erotic and tasteful art work.

I've always wondered this myself. It's just like the myth that women don't enjoy sex or the myth that we don't like looking at porn. According to rules of society, we aren't supposed to like those things. But it's the 21st century. Time to be more open minded. I enjoy looking at the male figure. I think that men are just as beautiful as women are said to be. But then again I'm an artist so maybe my perspective is different than the general public.

I'm not into porn, but if I did have to watch it...I'd rather watch lesbian porn, than watch hetero porn.

...watching some woman get plunged into by some dude just does nothing for me, I can do that myself with more pleasurable results.

...why? o.0

I don't find any man's penis, but my man's penis attractive...and attractive isn't really the right word. LOL

I like a penis for it's entertainment value, not it's appearance. >.<

Asuigeneris1 says:
While I agree the science of the human body is a work of art...the appearance is not always so intrinsically artistic. : P

...and there is an awful lot of "Art" in this world, that the masses don't agree on as being appealing to look at.

Asuigeneris1 says:
...you do realize that women don't "always" do that.

Most of the time it's breasts and ass that are shown, and we see that on men too.

...people just made women's breasts into something erotic, when they are actually just milk siphons and fat.

"God gave the breast another function to be enjoyed of during affection with her man."

Or woman.
As a matter of fact, it's a function that can be found both in men and women.

If you want to hide erogenous zones, you can stop wearing sleeveless tops from now on.
