I think men-carrying-tote-bags is disgusting.
I would shy-away from any man who does.

Eh, even I don't dig anything I have to actually carry....and I am a chick.

...likely all those years of diaper bags. LOL

I have hip purses custom made for me, they look more stylish and I can have them made a size I want.

...I only carry a few things around anyway, comb, credit cards/ID, lip balm.

I wouldn't want some monstrous thing, I could carry most of my possessions in. : P

...so have no idea why a guy would want to, that tote looks like a cheap grocery store carrier that you buy to be Green. LOL

Hip purse? You mean like a fanny pack? I like those, lol, they're handy...especially for hiking!

But I do love big bags. I sling my messenger bag across me and can fit lots inside it. I've got numerous bags and purses, though, so there's an ideal one to use for every trip. If I only need to grab a few things out of the main bag, I'll stuff them into a smaller one and go.

Can't live without my reusable grocery totes, either. ;) I have these two enooooormous sleeping bag-like ones with My Little Pony, Sesame Street, and Hello Kitty designs, that I received free with some online orders (including my messenger bag)...they're awesome for light grocery items!

...like these.

I get them made to have a belt attached already...or to slide onto a hip belt I already have.

Just depends on how elaborate the hip purse is, some I have the belt made onto the purse...because I would just never find anything to match. : P

Ohhhhh, I see! They look really nice, practical, and useful. Cool.

Asuigeneris1 says:
Not always practical...the feathers and crap sometimes make them more aesthetic. LOL

...but I have a few that are just studs and hardware mostly, those are for day to day use.

Most I have made only like 7"wx5"l, so they don't get in the way and hold just the basics.

...the LW's I use are great about just making them to my specs.

Ha, ha, ha...I see. ;) Well, heck, sometimes you just want something that looks pretty! Custom-made bags, that's pretty neato.

And true dat, true dat...sometimes exchanges with trolls can be very entertaining indeed. xD

...for anywhere from 100-200 bucks, they've been great.

They will last forever at this rate, it was a good investment...I used to just buy tons of crap that I never really used, trying to be more of an efficient minimalist in my old age. LOL

Well, if they do what you need and last, then great! What more can one ask? Ha, ha...I try to take good care of my stuff and I'm a confessed pack-rat who hates to throw anything away, so I've also basically sworn off buying more of anything of which I've got more than enough (e.g., clothes, BAGS...heheh...) Unless, you know, something pops up that's absolutely necessary and irresistible. :P

I am an admitted fashion whore, but have at least comes to terms with it moderately...too many years of buying crap that I would NEVER wear, I just liked the making an ensemble aspect.

...beats being a crack whore I guess. LOL

LOL!! Admission is the first necessary step to recovery....;) I understand, though. Sometimes desire and whims just override logic, somehow.

I just carry a purse, I don't care what anyone thinks. Yes it is very convenient.

Shallow pocketed jeans? Mine are too because I bought them in the women's clothing isle. I also carry a purse for that reason. It is a nice purse that is not too fem looking, not that I care that much. ;-)

Kathryn M. says: "He will hold my purse if I need him to when we are out shopping, but that's as far as he will go. And I don't think he really likes doing that."

It is unfortunate that society programs people to be so insecure about themselves, that they are afraid to step outside of expected gender behavior.

I agree, get past the stigma that society has put on this sort of thing. Doctors will tell you that one of the worst things for a man to do is carry that big lump of a wallet in your back pocket, and I for one stopped over 8 years ago and opted for something smaller that I could put in my front pocket, And another thing I realized at that same time was that I was carrying a pocket full of boogers and decided to stop, so sometimes it would be nice to have a pack of tissues with me when needed. Come on men's sexuality is in who they are not if they carry some sort of bag be it purse or clutch or what ever or what they wear for underwear whether it be tighty whities, boxers, or even panties, or even if they dare to done a khaki or jean skirt, that does not make them a homosexual. Has anyone ever heard of being comfortable? It is time that we as society accept that some things and styles change but that doesn't change your masculinity.

I carry a medium sized black camera bag for the exact reason above, man, we must be twins-diabetic and ride motorcycles. I started carrying about 8 years ago because of all the stuff I haul. But man it's convenient and if I found a purse that would be even better suited, and this one will wear out sooner than later, I will be on it like a cat on kitty litter! I have no patience for this "does this accessory make me look gay?" nonsense. Why should I be worried? My past, that others couldn't possibly know about proves over and over again that that is not a possibility. LoL! So why would I give a fig about what the they's think of me.
