Comitatus/ Band of brothers in Medieval literature?

You've chosen an interesting but complex topic. I don't know what level or sort of course you're writing the paper for but you may get some ideas and a starting point from this series of lectures, particularly Lectures 20 to 25: http://www.historyguide.org/ancient/ancient.html#table .

I want to write my paper on "Comitatus in Medeival literature" but i have no idea how to go about it. Questions that i can target are; how comitatus is portrayed in medeival literature, how its valued above all other relationship/bonds, and perhaps how the it seems like the greatest honor to die besides one's lord?

I am so burnt out and i dont know what else to do. Does anybody have any other ideas or questions that i can tackle in this paper?
