I-Parcel the worst shipping carrier

Javier, curiously, what were the first three letters of your i-parcel tracking number? If they were STD or EXP, it's not a trackable service (not designed to be either, this information is actually on the Amazon website). If they were AEI, then I'd like you to email me privately at amazongroup@i-parcel.com with the tracking number because every AEI parcel is trackable the point that you receive it. Many thanks.

Will do you work for I-Parcel? Anyway, my comment is what the point to provide a tracking number if you can't track a package? These STD or EXP (Standard and Expedited as I understand) have no sense, just making customers more confused - we get used to that if courier provides tracking number its really more secure that the package will arrive. I-Parcel taking too much time to process and send packages...

Hi Valerii, yes I do work for i-parcel and I'm sorry your frustrated. Most other STD and EXP providers for Amazon have no separate tracking numbers (like the USPS for example), so yes it's confusing that we do, and I apologize for any confusion. But STD and EXP shipments aren't trackable and they are both mail (like USPS or other mail providers Amazon use). If you want to email me separately with where you're located I will be happy to at least let you know how your parcels are delivered and when you should reasonably expect them in.

How could be the STD are not trackable ?
This problem should be fixed Will, or the customer will start worrying if they parcel is delivered by I-parcel.

No STD parcels are trackable. Even if you don't use i-parcel (Amazon use other carriers in other countries), STD is a non trackable service with Amazon. If you would like tracking on your parcels, you need to order Priority (your i-parcel tracking number would begin with AEI). Hope this helps.

Don't worry, "IND" means "Indiana" (Amazon's fulfillment center). Your package is on its way to us form them now.

Now I'm coming with a good news about I-Parcel. I ordered 2 books from Amazon which being sent to Peru 27 of October by I-Parcel. I was already thinking no chances for arrival.But books arrived today.

That's the fastest delivery made, thanks I-Parcel, I think you doing better. Keep it on - I'm ordering more stuff!

Hope other people on the forum will get some relief on this info.

Wow...that is really a good news!. Hopefully my package will arrive that fast. I ordered a book from amazon 27 of October and send to my country Indonesia with estimated arrival 18 of November.

Hi Valerii, thanks for the good news. Please do beware, at Holiday times the international mail system is generally overloaded (worldwide) and there can be delays. Those times basically start in about a week. For total surety, you may want to consider Amazon's Priority service. BUT....great to hear.

Thanks Will, I understand what you telling me about Priority service. But situation here is slightly different. When I use regular shipping, tha package arrive to Peru to SerPost - national post carrier - sth. like USPS in USA. They pay no fees on customs so basically what I pay is just the price Amazon charging me for Std. Shipping. When I use priority service, package arrive to private company which suppose to pay all customs and other fees. So this way I pay more to Amazon plus to get it from Priority carrier costs me almost same as package itself.

Hope you understand the reality.
Anyway thanks, and I really do believe that I-Parcel can do a good service. You are on a right way.

Thanks Val, you're right. SerPost will preclude you from having to pay duties and taxes (though legally the regime is the same, the Peruvian government is supposed to collect no matter how sent) and Priority Carriers (DHL, FedEx and UPS) won't because Peruvian Customs (and most Customs around the world) have not enough inspectors to revenue protect everything, and they usually let the mail go by first, and police the couriers 100%.

Hi, my packages (books and DVD's) still has not arrived yet, and the delivery estimated date was October 27, 2011 and October 28, 2011. The tracking said that it arrived to Santiago, Chile 2 weeks ago October 22, 2011 12:00:00 PM and is "Held for payment". What I need to do to receive the packages?. Who need to call? or where I have to go to recover them?. I send a email them at trackmyparcel@i-parcel.com and included the i-parcel tracking number; but they hadn't answered me yet

Hi Andres, this means that Correos de Chile are holding the parcel pending payment of duties and taxes. Before I answer your question, can you tell me whether your i-parcel number starts with STD or AEI?

AEIABE; just now i recived a mail of i-parcel with Correos de Chile reference number. It's look like the packages are still in the airport. I tried to call by phone (30 minutes) but still get a busy signal

OK, so they have (finally?) been in touch with you. The way it works is this:

Parcel arrives at Santiago International Airport
If Duties and Taxes are due, Correos de Chile sends you a note

It looks like in this instance they didn't send you the note (and it's not the first time we've come across this).

Please forward a copy of the email you sent to trackmyparcel@i-parcel.com where you didn't get a response. I would like to see it because you should have been responded to right away. They would have sent you back the local Correos tracking number, which you could have used when you called them. FYI, the 'note' they're supposed to send you contains that. Please send the email to amazongroup@i-parcel.com and I will look at it.

I believe your situation will straighten itself out now because they've contacted you and I'm sorry for your trouble.

I'll then have a look. It is true, it's not trackable, but I can at least verify when it left and by whom it will be delivered.

Last, to Amazon, Why change? Unless you think i-Parcel can deliver a much better job and support.

p/s I've just received my 1 out of 4 orders yesterday, It arrived like a sack of potatoes but with a box in it. It's a book with no padding for protection and the corner was dented but the binding it's fine. This will be a separate issue that Amazon need to look into it.
