me being a 13 yeAR OLD BOY, I think that a shrek lunchbox is a bit immature. What would be nice is a PS3 console, and if already owned, than get MW3 of Battlefield 3

Anything HALO should do the trick. They're releasing the original HALO in HD and you can pre-order that today to get all the neat stuff that comes with the pre-order. Also nice megablocks HALO sets. Many kids into Minecraft too, so look that up.

I asked my son, soon to be 13, what he would want. You really have to look at what the interest of the child is. My son loves hunting and fishing so anything outdoors like. If he is into gaming systems check what his game interests are. This is a tricky age, depending on the budget, cash/giftcards are a great alternative.

My 13yo has shockingly asked for books for Christmas, which makes me think a gift card would be your best bet. If he has an ipod, I'd suggest an itunes card. Lucky for me, they even have books!

Mine asks for an iPad and an iPhone and anything electronic. Be careful to ask as, noted before, this is one of those things where you don't know what they already have. I suggest Uncle Milton's products as well for strange suggestions. I got some cool stuff on Amazon I would have never thought up, just by plugging into Google : Things a 9 year old would want. My son is into Star Wars and Uncle Milton's had a laser nightlight you could turn 8 different colors with a remote control. I was pleased.

My 13 y/o is definitely in the cash/GC phase, but he is also getting Uncharted 3 for his PS3, a fav sports team jersey, a book he really wants (Inheritence) and an electric razor. I think it depends a LOT on the particular kid, but tix to a sporting event, movie etc are good. I saw a "portable" ping-pong set for $30 that my kid would think was fun if we didn't already have a table. Goodnluck!

If he is into sports, I would get them a personalized jersey necklace (available for many teams) personalized with their Name and Number
Oakland Raiders Jersey Necklace Personalized with Your Name and Number

I have 3 grandsons, take it from my experience. Go for sports teams apparel: Team Jersey, hat, scarf, socks, jacket, hat, gloves, wall flags, mascotts. Individual or as a small group they always go over great.

My grandson is almost 13 and would be embarassed to even have a lunch box. He does have on his gift list the COD MW3 and Battlefield 3 as well as a PSN gift card for his PS3. He loves purchasing the maps for his games and loves multiplaying with his friends on the PSnetwork. Steven - take the advice of the 13 years old and give a gift appreciated.

I've got an 11 year old and I'm getting him things like minute cards for his cell phone (since I don't allow him on our plan--scared of having an $900 phone bill-lol). Also, a snow tube, books (he loves to read), anything with his fav baseball team logo on it--jerseys, bedding, etc. Gift cards/certificates to places they like--my son likes Starbuck's frapps so I'll probably get him a reloadable card for there too. Lots of things out there, just depends on what they like and what they're interested in. : )
