I never have trouble finding the Deathly Hallows discussion group, but I seem to have great trouble finding this forum. Does anyone else have trouble? It used to appear below the other in a group of other discussion groups. But it recently has not, despite newer postings than some listed.

Yesterday at work, I couldn't find it to save my life. I tried everything! Amazon is being very devious with communities. As I have it bookmarked on my home computer, I have no problem.

I have that problem any time I travel. Sometimes I send myself an email with my favorite links/ addresses, because I can always reach my mail.

I didn't want to get on at work, but I searched Amazon (All Departments) for "Harry Potter discussion."
The first line shows the tag --
Explore over 880 products tagged harry potter by customers
See what the community is talking about in the harry potter discussion forum." is a link to this discussion.

Happy hunting....until they change it again :)

I did find that if I'm in Harry Potter Discussion, when I have the Search box, I need to uncheck the "Search only this discussion" or whatever it says. Then I type in OWL post or Trivia or Wedding and can get it. But it used to appear in the lower section, and now it doesn't. Amazon must assume we're a diminishing breed and unimportant. Grrr. To quote Chunk, "Hey you guys!" While it is difficult, we can find it with effort. And we're all worth the effort.

Why make this community sooooooo difficult to find? No wonder there are so few of us.

I'm tagging each of these for email so I can find it again.

I found that by going to Deathly Hallows discussion group I can click the search on the right. I put in harry potter forum and then it comes up on the right on the next page. it really is a pain. I think they should have left it where it was. Or given us a place to find it! geez oh man!

I agree, but how do we write Amazon about this?

I am accessing this at work (don't tell anyone!) --- the recent discussions in the "harry potter" forum is back!!! I will try again at home, but maybe Amazon is reading our posts and restored the list. Can anyone else see this too?

Just a minute ago, I couldn't see the "Recent discussion in the harry potter forum (221 discussions). I tried my (name's) Amazon and typed harry potter discussion in All Departments and I now see The Recent discussion list is there! Go figure?

That's why whatever Amazon is doing, it isn't helpful.

I also had a hard time finding this forum so I bookmarked it. Now, I can easily look it up!

Hi Alan
I too had problems finding this forum so I now track discussions in both forums so that I can easily find them.

it would be nice if Amazon listed our discussions that we "subscribed" to in our account home page.

I think it depends on how long it's been since the last post; more traffic would help.

Hi, All - it's been a while, huh?

This is a repeat, but: Yay Vermis!

Holy Cow! Vermis is back!!! Hooray. It's a great pleasure to see you here again. We love your comments and thoughts always. A while? Let's say "way too long" but you are forgiven with hugs and kisses.

Thanks, Alan -

No excuses, I'm afraid. My life has been fairly eventful, but not very busy - I REALLY need to find a job!

Anyway, once the last movie came out, I thought that I'd wait until I'd seen it so I didn't have to worry about spoilers. But I can't find any good DH2 discussions! - Am I missing some threads somewhere?

I have a fairly involved one I want to do for Owl Post. But since it requires actual research, I still don't have it ready. I'm on my 3rd trip thru the books - currently on Goblet of Fire.

So glad that so many old friends are still around!

Vermis, try the Cafe, Trivia, Favorite Quotes, and the Golden snitch awards,

Vermis, I find that DH2 is really good. I saw it in 3D. Some people don't like that and say "It didn't add anything." Well, no it didn't, except for depth of scenes. With the exception of a little fire here and there rolling out the front of the screen (no spoiler there), and maybe the ride down to the caverns below Gringotts, it was a normal movie. It just wasn't flat.
The movie managed to change a little, of course, but nothing debilitating to the story. I understand when David Yates says they wanted the final duel somewhere else (that's not a spoiler, because it's in almost every trailer). I would have preferred the original location, but the chase added some time and tension. I actually felt the novel was a tad short right there. This replaced Harry's many comments with action. Mrs. Weasley got her famous line. So did Dumbledore (JKR's favorite line in King's Cross). Maggie Smith had some wonderful moments (and she looks so much healthier than she did during Half Blood Prince). Evanny Lynch was perfect again. Alan Rickman should be given at least a Supporting Actor nomination nod for the Oscars. His death is sooo well done. Neville finally gets his moments, and Matthew does them well. The trio are wonderful, as always.

My only criticisms are these. First is the volume of some of the dialogue. Now I know my hearing isn't what it once was. But Rickman's dialogue is always clear. He may growl softly or spit angrily, but every word comes through. Starting at least in Half-Blood Prince, there are moments when the dialogue gets really soft. Listen to the dialogues between Harry and Griphook or Harry and Olivander in this movie. Listen carefully, because even in the theater it got very soft. I don't want to watch movies with the subtitles on, but at those moments, I'm afraid I may need to.

The other was a problem with contrast. Look at the moment when Harry emerges into the clearing to confront LV in the forest. He's visible, but only just. My eyes aren't fading, and besides other people have complained about it, too.

So, there's a criticism for you, Vermis. And again, welcome back.
