First and foremost, let me just say this: If you HAVE NOT been officially diagnosed with some form of gluten intolerance (eg. Celiac Disease), by a REAL doctor in a REAL doctor's office with a REAL blood test, then you DO NOT need gluten-free food products. OKAY? Are we clear here? Well, probably not, so I shall continue.
Is it not a bizarre coincidence that the number of alleged wheat allergic individuals has spiked in unison with the popularity of gluten-free diets? All it takes is some crappy, low-life celebrity (I wont name names, I'm sure you know who they are) to declare herself wheatless, and millions of hysterical douchebags follow suit, feigning a serious illness just so they can feel in vogue. What a bunch of losers, right? Well. as is painfully evident, those same losers are being *heavily* pandered to...and it's only going to get worse.
As it is now, this extremist cr@p has infested the Vegan community with a vengeance. It's like the whole organic obsession, but worse. Perfectly healthy people who enjoy their morning bran muffin, for the awesome, explosive bowel movements it provides, are now being fed a line of BS regarding the alleged "evils" of wheat. These wackos aren't satisfied with their own self-enforced Frankenstein diets, they have to live gluten-free by proxy too. Worst of all, if they are unsuccessful at strong-arming another adult into submission, they will then turn to their own children.
How many recent Amazon reviews for some gluten-free product have you seen featuring a "concerned" mother and her gluten-intolerant son/daughter? Quite a few, yes? Think back to 2005; how many did you see back then? A scant few, right? And I don't even want to hear some BS argument about "awareness" because doctors have been aware of wheat allergies for a d@mn long time. Admit it, you freaks...you get off on the attention; you get off on being a special wittle snowflake. Problem is, since half the world's population is mysteriously falling ill with Celiac Disease, the snowflakes are piling up into a big indistinguishable drift.
That's right, you all look the same. This is just another flavor of the "carb-sensetive" bullocks from the Atkins era. LOL Remember that hot mess? Yeah, me too. :D Just you watch...in a few years, all of these wheat-sick people will magically disappear, and then reemerge with the latest celebrity-endorsed ailment. In the year 2015, Cameron Diaz will tweet that she suffers from extreme hyperhidrosis of the feet. Two hours later, everyone & their mama will claim to suffer from the same condition. Special absorbent slippers will be manufactured & sold to the trendy folks who are desperate to emulate the sweaty-footed actress. Many forum discussions will take place regarding the intolerable side effects of this debilitating condition, such as sliding shoes, prune soles, distracting *squish* sounds while walking, and toe jam.
That last part was just a joke. I seriously doubt anyone would have a problem with toe jam because it IS gluten-free, after all.
