You clearly don't understand ketosis, which you should before you make uninformed posts like this.

@ Rasro. Please elaborate.
My understanding is that ketosis occurs when burning fat and elevated ketones in the blood appear while one is in that mode. I ur referring ur comments to the original post, I didn't think there was a desire for body fat loss. I assumed there was a desire to prevent loss of and/or increase of, lean muscle mass and they did not want, or need, superfluous carbs, provided by a "protein" supplement. They did not indicate that they were on a low/no carb diet and other (perhaps better) carbs can, and may be, provided by other means for this individual.

Lucy, How's the taste on this stuff ur using?

Lucy Sosa says:
John, previously I was taking Now Sports Whey Protein Isolate. The taste was traumatic -- lol. Mixing it with milk, juice, fruits, etc. did not help at all. I finally located someone in the internet that solved the taste problem by mixing the whey with milk and peanut butter. Taking a deep breath, pinching my noise, and then drinking the peanut butter mix became an efficient way to make me drink this particular NSWPI. The Garden of Life Raw Protein that I drink now does not have a bad taste. If forced to described the taste of the GoL RP I would say that it taste like dried up, crushed sprouts which to me that means that a 'flavor' is barely present. I add the peanut butter out of habit only. It is just grainy but I rather deal with the mild grainy sensation than a bad taste. In the end, I just want what is best for my body. Let me know, John, if you could, what will be your final choice. There is so much out there, it is a challenge to make that final definite decision.

I have tried tons of different protein supplement and my favorite by far is
"Gold Standard 100% Whey" by Optimum nutrition. I've been taking it for years and love it. I was getting it from FitRx.com but the last time I bought it Amazon had the best price.

My vanilla Twinlabs has a marginal taste. I put in a large dose of cinnamon and that helps a lot to improve the taste.

Jules says:
What????? 14 single serving shakes comes to about $3.21 per shake. Ingrid - The price for 1 bottle of Alkalete is $35.00 as I just got done telling you in the previous post.- the price for a box of shakes & 1 bottle of alkalete is $80.00. Take away the $35.00 for the price of the Akalete and you are left with $45.00 for the shakes which makes them $3.21 ea. This is simple math, not sure where you are getting confused from.

Maybe I was confused because you said "Combine it with Alkalete,a pH enhancer that flushes the lactic acid buildup during exercise and I promise you will Never use anything else."

Jules says:
Right, which is why I sent you to the link that you can by both together Alkalete & the shakes together. The 30 serving canister is not sold separately on Amazon at this time but soon will be.

I see the problem, I forgot to include the $14.87 shipping charge.
80 + 14.87 = 94.87 divided by 14 = $6.77 each
Yes, that surely is too expensive for me.

Pre workout: 1/2 scoop BPI 1.M.R Blue Raspberry, 224 grams

During workout I sip a 'Vitamin World' generic lemon-lime BCAA

Post workout: 1 cup low calorie coconut milk, 1tsp Korintje cinnamon, 1.5 Tbsp cacao nibs, 1 Tbsp peanut powder, 1 scoop Nitro Fusion Multi Source Protein Chocolate 2 Pounds

Also, in the mornings I take 2 of these Planetary Herbals Full Spectrum Cordyceps 450, 450 mg, Tablets , 120 tablets (Pack of 2)

In my opinion all of these supplements are valuable to my workout. I don't use the 1MR if I'm not resistance training, it's too hard to find a rhythm when your heart's jacked like that.

No Ingrid! What you are not doing is SUBTRACTING The Cost of The Alkalete out of the $80.00 There are 2 products being sold together at that link. The shakes which are $45.00 for 14 servings and $35.00 for the Bottle of Alkalete. $45.00 + $35.00 = $80.00

Thanks for sharing Parker, but the original questions was someone was looking for a good whey protein. Maybe you could start a Topic asking everybody what they are taking for their Muscle Recovery.

Bad Grandpa says:
Now I get it, just don't use the Alkalete when it gets here.

In reply to an earlier post on Jul 27, 2012 12:44:32 PM PDT
Jules says:
What??????? Why wouldn't you use the alkalete? It is a ph enhancer and is scientifically proven to incrase muscle strength and endurance in 2 weeks. Also, because it neutralizes the acids, you body flushes the Lactic acids that build up during exercise which is what creates muscle soreness.. I really don't understand how you got yourself so confused. Maybe you should go back and read the post from the beginning, where I said these using 2 products together and you will never use anything else for your muscle recovery.
