Marilyn, You confusion on what to believe when you hear conflicting recommendations on what is best for your health was the motivation behind SmartHealthTalk.com a new radio talk show that will begin Sept.8. I am an RD with a Masters in Public Health and many years in the organic industry. Shocking what is being done to our food. As for salt/sodium many people are unaware that most table salt that is also found in processed foods has been treated. That type of salt is subjected to temperatures over 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit which changes the molecular structure and how it reacts in the body. My recommendation is to avoid processed foods as they contain this type of sodium that adds to high blood pressure, use other herbs and spices for flavor, cook from scratch, buy organic, and try Real Salt a product that comes from a mountain in Utah that used to be under the ocean millions of years ago.

As for an old fashion remedy that is coming back is style is ionic clay minerals for healing, nourishment, and detoxifying. Terramin is the best I have ever found and is classified as a "premium" source that is over 15 million years old and has been encased underground so modern toxins could not contaminate. The Colorado River was able to break the 57 ionic minerals down to one micron in size for easy absorption. I need major dental work, but my dentist could not believe the condition of my teeth considering what I have been through. He said that he never saw anything like it. The minerals have eliminated my heartburn, cleaned out my digestive system, healed my skin, treated cuts and insect bites to stop pain, bleeding and speed healing. My great grandparents were full blood American Indian, and those Indians knew to use the clay. They always carried it with them on hunting trips, and babies would get clay on their gums to take away teething pain. There are only a few places to find this quality on the planet, and the Terramin source is one of them. There is even a large geothermal source located directly below. To me, the minerals are worth more than gold as they give life. Cost is cents per day. Please check them out at this link and read more about how it works and the uses. Signals from the gut (your gut feelings), It is easy to imagine all of your feelings originating in your brain, But it is not true. look up Vitamins and Minerals for depression.

Nope!

Anytime a poster comes to the forums and starts posting in numerous strings and implying that a certain modality can fix them all, I know that they are FOS.

And when they start talking in pseudo-chemistry jargon, I KNOW they are FOS.

You probably got something against Honey too!
(inside joke- between me and Mr. Wasson)

Nah! I love honey!

Eat it all the time...especially in Cream of Wheat.

And it has many medicinal properties, many of which have not been fully elucidated and research continues.

But if someone were to substitute "honey" into the ion-charged post in the place of "vitamins"....I would clal them out on it.

Now oil pulling! There is a scam.

Ion Charged Minerals -

Your first paragraph was interesting. However, your second paragraph was nothing but a thinly veiled "advertisement", or promotion of a commercial product you are tied to.

As far as natural sweeteners (beyond honey), you may want to visit:

I've posted this elsewhere, but if you want to eat-fresh and support your local farmers at the same time:

You are not clarifying what kind of honey you are eating Michael. The benefits are only there if it is raw unfiltered honey. There are actually things in honey that we have yet to identify.

Honey and bees are on the decline. Corporations are importing a honey-type of product from China and adding to processed foods and saying they have added honey. Friends of mine who made the documentary "Vanishing of the Bees" uncovered their storage facility.

Just to clarify, I do not propose anything is a cure all, but when you take away the water out of your body, most of what is left is a pile of minerals and they are involved in virtually every reaction in your body. How many disease fighting reactions could be happening if you had the mineral supplies required to perform them? I believe there are many things are bodies are capable of doing if we gave it the raw materials to do so.

And by the way, I took the time to get my education and am not FOS.

"I took the time to get my education and am not FOS."

Then you took the time to study chemistry and know that micron is a meaningless term in chemistry, then!?

That all the talk about "ions" and "charges" is meaningless? In solution, most substances occur as ions.

And that it is virtually impossible for some elements to exist as "negative ions"?

And that sodium chloride is sodium chloride. If there were a "change in the molecular structure" then it would not be sodium chloride anymore?

Heard all the same line of BS with a pklethora of other supplements over the years. EVERYONE has some kind of differnce that make it totaslly iffernt than all the rest.

Give it a while and we will see bottles of it on ebay for $5.

"The benefits are only there if it is raw unfiltered honey. There are actually things in honey that we have yet to identify."

Then how to you know they are only in raw unfiltered honey? This is the kind of contradictory talk that makes me disbelieve.

Marilyn, I am not trying to hide anything, but I am a health professional and if asked what is my #1 recommendation to add to your daily regimen what would I recommend and it would be Terramin. Just the fact that you can now have these minerals is to me one of the most important things to happen to improve peoples health. Something I would normally charge $50 a hour to tell you.

I don't have to push to make these available to people, could do many other things, but if people don't start saying with their dollars they want access to these kinds of alternatives and fight to have them, they will be bought up by big corporations and used for their profit.

Right now China is buying up all of the calcium montmorillonite mines like this in the world they can get their hands on. Like I have mentioned earlier, to me they are worth more than gold because within them is the ability to give life. Until you have experienced it, I don't expect you to understand. There has been success using a source like this to kill MRSA when nothing else will work. In Africa, flesh eating disease is treated with clay minerals and is working to heal and relieve pain when nothing else works.

Personally, after I cut off the tip of my finger with new clippers in my garden the bleeding was profuse, and the pain intense. All I had to do was put the powder on my finger and the bleeding stopped and the pain went away within minutes. Felt weird as the chemicals were still running through my bloodstream with my body trying to deal with the pain and when it stopped it was kind of what happened. Days after I had no pain as long as I had the minerals on my finger. They are so fine you don't even know they are there. If I knocked them off, they pain immediately returned. My finger healed fast with no scar and no infection.

When I had a toothache, the kind you want to scream at the top of your lungs, the minerals made it stop and within two days all pain was gone without a trip to the dentist.

So do you think I should just keep this to myself, and not let other people know they have a choice that can help them take pain away and heal?

"Personal testimonials" like yours are a dime a dozen - about any number of substances or products.

And you never addressed the key complaint in my previous post: Are you in any way connected to this commercial product?

In reply to an earlier post on Aug 15, 2011 7:52:27 AM PDT
For your information there is testing that actually measures the quality of the minerals and electrical capacity. These minerals tested as "premium quality." I would be glad to get you the documentation.

As for what I studied, most people have no idea all that you have to know to pass a registered dietitian exam. Way more than I thought when I got into it. All together I have had 10 years of college education. What about you?

People have been lied to over and over, and I completely understand you skepticism and welcome it. I got straight As and was given the National Sargent Shiver Award by President Johnson's daughter for my accomplishments because I don't like to be wrong. I tested and researched for years before I felt 100% confident to recommend this to people, and believe me I have seen much more than you as to what is out there.

I repeat: Are you in any way connected to this commercial product?

You complain with all due false sympathy about the public's "confusion", and how we are "lied to, over and over." Then launch into a holier-than-tho diatribe that sure sounds like a "Product Spokesman".

Anybody is buyable today. Kick-backs or hidden investments are more the norm than the rarity. This discussion is about "Old Fashioned Foods and Remedies", and I've posted links to articles and scientific studies to back up what I say.

Kindly take your "promotion" of this product elsewhere.

I explained my entire history in a post I made previously today. You can read it and judge for yourself. These minerals in my opinion are the most important find to having a real impact on health, but is not everything.

Will have a radio talk show starting next month called Smart Health Talk that will cover a wide range of health topics. I have seen behind the scenes from the manufacturer point of view what really goes on to manipulate what you eat, and want to do something about it.

If you choose to not take my advice, that is your choice. I learned a long time ago that I could tell a new heart attack victim what they need to do to change their diet and save their life, but if they don't want to hear I should just walk away because there are 10 other people that want to hear what I have to say because they want something better.

Taking the time to give you advise on this board is actually not a good use of my time if I want to get sales, just wanted to help. If you choose to keep going on the same, does not change my life. What I live for, is healing with food. Unfortunately not too much healing can be done with food that is processed and comes from barren soil with a few chemicals added and then is doused with poisons.

I want you to fight for something better. You have something better, go for it. I would never try to discourage you from that.

"For your information there is testing that actually measures the quality of the minerals and electrical capacity"

So? This does not refer to the molecular structure.

"As for what I studied, most people have no idea all that you have to know to pass a registered dietitian exam. Way more than I thought when I got into it. All together I have had 10 years of college education. What about you?"

Since I did a stint in the Nutrition Department At UNC's school of Public Health, I know very well the RD exam. That is why I am confused that a person who has been through it would use such inane terminology to describe a product.

If you search Amazon under "living clay" you will find several books that talk about this as an alternative remedy.

Do You think the minerals might cheer up "THE BITTER PILLS" around here?
(unless your the Most Evil Poster on Amazon Forums with a diabolical scheem up your sleeve and are trying to trick "the simple" into buying minerals)
Where else are we going to hear about it?
Snake Oil? Or a part of nature, That few have access to, unless enlightened.

As I said there is testing for not only quality, but the electrical capacity.

The shape of the molecules in this mineral source have a tetra shape as well that give it a surface area like nothing else. One tablespoon has the surface area of an Olympic size swimming pool. You are welcome to go to California Earth Minerals and read more. If you call the office, they will be glad to provide you with more answers.

As a dietitian it is so difficult to get people to change their diets the way I want them to eat. It takes time to replace old habits with new and better ones. Heck I grew up on fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy.

I have searched for things that I could recommend that would help people immediately and whether they change or not. There are only two things at the top of my list for this. One is these minerals that I believe in with my soul, and the other is Salba which is a hybrid of chia that took 15 years to develop. I will not go into a complete explanation on Salba right now, but I am very good friends with the brothers from Argintina that worked on developing this product not just for people to have a food that can deliver all that Salba can deliver, but to have a product that small farmers could grow and make money for their families. In order words, the price would not fall out and they get nothing for their crop. It had to be consistent if used in food manufacturer as cannot be all over the board. Happy Babies (one of my favorite companies) and Udis is now adding Salba to their products.

What I recommended had to be something that people could afford as well. Let's face some things out there are good, but way out of the price range of most people. I grew up poor, so can relate.
