Which Big Pharma Companies Are Paying Your Doctor?

"The Physician Payment Sunshine Act is an important step toward curbing the payments and gifts doctors receive from pharmaceutical companies... Included in Obamacare, the manufacturers of drugs, medical devices and biologics have to report the monetary value of gifts ands payments to doctors and teaching hospitals on a publicly accessible website."

Hopefully this will stop the practice of physicians being more inclined to prescribe only the medications from the "gifting" Pharma company.

Several "paid consultant" doctors wrote to Johnson & Johnson about their defective artificial hip. But those consultants never warned other physicians, and it was another couple years before J&J recalled the device in 2010.
