Planet Asia & Tzarism- Via Satellite

Dope album. A few of the beats are prosaic, but mostly hitting. Good raps. 8.45/10

There are tons of recommendations on this forum I know, but if you ever decide to listen to one song, this should seriously be the song. Just search that and you won't regret it!

Hey I found Denmark Vessey 'Life, In My Direction' on Spotify. It's entirely dope. Thanks for bringing him up, D-Train...

Uncluded is a great album... It's basically just a Kimya Dawson album with Ace Rock rapping over every track. Very good, melancholic music. The imagery & nostalgia of 'Jambi Cafe' makes my eyes water...

I'll be looking out for that album D...

Anyone listened to The Uncluded (Aesop Rock & Kimya Dawson of The Moldy Peaches)?

I'm kinda liking it. They make for a strange duo that somehow works.

Thoughts?

I'm gonna seek out that Goodie right now, completely forgot that was coming...

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 9, 2013 7:29:31 AM PST
Yea, I certainly understand that sound isn't for everyone... It's kinda par for course at Backwoodz, though. Did you check Dour Candy? Blockhead does an amazing job of keeping it accessible while still being original & creative...

Digging the new Goodie Mob. Not *all* the tracks, but the ones that bang BANG BIG.

Parker they lost me on this one so I didn't cop it........The beats were to far for even me and I love abstract drums and all.......I need to listen to race music again.....Lyrically they do their thing but I will give them another listen again.............

Posted on Nov 7, 2013 9:29:50 AM PST
Nobody here down with the Backwoodz style? Billy Woods & Blockhead released Dour Candy, which is probably my AOTY, maybe behind Rugged Man, but still at the top. Armand Hammer is Billy Woods & Elucid... they just released Race Music which is also excellent.
