If you are really into instrumentals and beats and would like some video accompaniment along with them, I suggest you check out the YouTube Channel:

ElFamosoDemon

Basically he just edits video clips from anime movies, to old school movies to whatever and syncs them up with beats from random beatmakers (Knxwledge, Ohbliv, Shag, Vanilla, Thelonius Martin, etc.) in some way. Great channel to have playing in the background while you smoke or just watch and listen. He has a great ear for beats and does even a better job with the videos.

DISCLAIMER: I don't know him, so i'm not pluggin it just to help him ... Just spreading some more dope stuff i've come across.

I listen to them. In fact Deadendhiphop.com has some good beat tape reviews. You should check them out. I checked out that youtube page you rec'd. The beats were dope, but what's up with all the anime?

Nothing's wrong with Anime. I've checked out Afro Samauri, Spirited Away, and some others as well. It's just that I know soooo many people who are heavy into anime that I find it overrated. Some of it is so bizarre that I could only say "Why would somebody be even interested in this?!" Tell you what Ian, I'll start an anime thread so you could rec me some.

Yeah obviously he's quite fond of anime ... I don't really care ... I just go with it. Most of the time the song goes with the anime, but all of the vids he edits aren't anime tho.

Personally i'm not into anime like that. Even as a little kid i wasn't into it, but for some odd reason i like the anime vids.

I think you're confusing anime with cartoons.

I do deffenitely listen to Beat Tapes, the last great one in my opinion was Numonic's new album (if you don't know he produced REBELutionary with Reks.) Also, Retro'd by Marcus D was GREAT, I think it came out late November, early December. Basically a beat tape consisting of classic video game samples, talking Mystic Quest, Zelda, Final Fantasy 2, Donkey Kong, etc... Super fun and retro beat tape.

I'll have to check those out.

Whoarei's Still Blunted is one of the better Beat Tapes I heard last year. His style is sonically sound.

The Other Guys just put out a beattape, forget the name of it now, but it was pretty dope. (Check it out on hhb.org.uk) ,I believe it's a free DL to begin with, but either way, free DL Link is there.

It's basically an instrumental collection of all the songs he's produced for other people. It's not bad, but it could at least have been released on a physical format. For some reason, Jamla like to release their albums solely on digital.
