I think someone in another thread mentioned The Prisoner, by Cheryl Reavis (not positive about the last name) but it was a great story I read many times.

A. Reader , is it a romance i.e is there an HEA? because this is the romance forum , if there is no happy ending then it is not a romance , then you should maybe suggest it in the fiction?

Captured - Victoria Lynne, Civil War. H is Union soldier detailed to take h (suspected Confederate spy) to prison.
Love Remembered - Ellen Fisher. Actually set in Colonial America, pre-revolution, but I just loved it.

How about No Greater Glory by Cindy Nord? It's a Civil War romance. I actually haven't had a chance to read it yet as my TBR pile is getting ahead of me, but it was recommended to me if you'd like to check it out.

I read that book and it was awesome. I have also met Cindy on FB and she is a very nice, caring person. I can't wait for her next book!

Trying to find novel about american heroine during revolutionary war, the English nobleman can't recall if he's a duke or earl that she's forced to marry because he wants to replace their unborn child for his dead brother that she disgraced by aquirying british military secrets. She also passed herself off as daughter to a british general or high raking officer in order to gain secrets for the american patroits. I think the title had "song" in it???
