Surely you're kidding, Suetonius. You've been around long enough to see anne at work.

Tell you what, I'll post my collection of anne's greatest hits in the next couple of posts.

For those who do not yet know why we believe that anne is a group of anti-Semitic trolls, here are a sampling of some of anne's greatest hits from the Judaism forum:

anne: Don't Jews believe God loves Jews only?

anne: Overheard, an Israeli speaking about Israeli Orthodox Jews, "they come here, they take our money, they have children who do the same--I hate them."

I'm aware the Orthodox Jews are exempt from military service and that their schooling is paid for by the government. Do they go to school their whole life?

Also, the Orthodox Jews are known for spitting on people but never each other. What's the deal with that?

And anything else you know about the life of citizens of Israel.

anne: That's just the unintelligent people who think that. The rest know it was the Romans who killed Jesus, the Jews just cheered them on.

Hanalah: THAT is a Christian LIE. The Jews have no such punishment . . .

Sarah wrote "You think some Jews don't have "the written word"? What Jews would those be?"

anne: The Jews that don't have the "written word" are the ones that use the oral word, otherwise known as Orthodox Jews. That's my understanding. I await correction.

Alexander wrote "Jews have no central authority"

anne: Yes, they do currently. You may be confused because Jews didn't always have a central authority. When Israel was formed, the central authority for Jews became the Rabbinate Council located in Israel.

And of course my all time favorite:

anne: Ok, in ancient times they didn't know how to write. At all. Everything they knew they had to say to each other. Out of respect for their creator they agreed not to say its name. Maybe there was a fight about what to call him, so the wisest person in the tribe suggested that no one say it.

Eventually they learned the written word. At that time they had a bit of a problem. How could they write the name of their creator who had no name? I believe they decided on a symbol. It was designed in print to mean their creator, but couldn't be pronounced, thereby keeping to the words of the wise one who solved the problem before. Whew, that was a close one. And that worked until two tribes who didn't speak the same language learned each other's languages and saw that they had solved the problem a different way. They agreed there was a single creator and it would be wrong to refer to him in two ways. Maybe they thought it would confuse the people? Remember this is still when not every member of the tribe knew how to read. So they solved this by agreeing to hold to the words of the original wise one. Only part of the people of the merged tribes didn't agree. They wanted to write a word to represent their creator. The people who held to the rule called themselves Jews to represent that belief. The other group called themselves Christians.

This is all ancient history, so I can't verify it, but it's pieced together based on other stories from ancient history.

Neither can most Jews.

And unlike most others such as the Native Americans or Aborigines, you left the land. You didn't get pushed into the gaza strip or the west bank (so to speak).

Also it seems the Paletinians have the same or similar DNA.....and they did not leave (per se).....

Bryan Borich says:
>Neither Jesus, Mary or Joseph believed in Heaven or Hell.
>No Jew from Abraham to the 1st Century CE, and up to today, believed or
>believes in Heaven or Hell.

You'd be incorrect. But than Abraham wasn't a Jew, just another pagan.

>So, since there is no Heaven to go to

Yes there is (at least depending on how you define it).

Jefffesq613:

I just wanted a confirmation. Thank you.
Both are invaluable examples of the discussion at hand.
Great coincidence but I have also saved these type of posts for when I teach the subject.
It is easy to follow the lack of logic and come to their conclusions.
Those are great teaching tools really!
They two and others like them are sickening and sick.

Jeff's one of the last person's I trust for a confirmation of anything (than again that applies to most people).

Not really. but being in the dark, one only sees darkness.

Looks like you should study more before trying to teach.

>It is easy to follow the lack of logic and come to their conclusions.

You mean your conclusions.

>Those are great teaching tools really!

Too bad your not ready to learn yet.

>They two and others like them are sickening and sick.

Guess you looked in the mirror.

Sixties fan says:
Some of the Torah may not be history, but at least Judaism was never about desowning what another cult was, said or did to the point of never ending persecussion.

It did not build itself on the back and blood of other people focing them to convert to its beliefs. Neither the Greeks, nor the Romans would have had the history they had, if the followers of Abraham had made a great Empire by force and kept all invaders away.

You follow the idea that a man named Jesus founded a new religion.
That would not have been possible because as a religious Jew, after 1800 years of Judaism....he would have known very well what his culture, people and religion meant and was all about.

It is one thing to form another Jewish sect, as ther were a few of them at the time, but totally another to assume that............in a cult, religion where there is only the belief in one G-D, and that G-D has no relatives, as the ones in the pagan cults did....
That this man, or any other person in Judaism.....would have wanted to go back to pagan ideas and have all the Jews convert to those pagan ideas Abraham got away from.

We understand what you believe, but you are not capable of understanding how no one, who was religious as Jesus was said to be, would have betrayed the Jewish Nation and thrown out all that was Jewish, the Messianic idea, Kosher laws, circumcision, etc.

A religious Jew would not have done it, but a non religious person who was denied his dream....and went to work for Herrod and the Romans....rejecting all that was Jewish.....
That man, Paul from Tarsus, from a land far away from Jerusalem.....
he is the one who founded Christianity. Based on someone named Yeshua who had been crucified, or an actual Yeshua who may have started another Jewish sect, the Nazarehns, he took their idea and turned it into the foundation of what you now believe in.

John Smith and others who founded new sects/denominations of Christianity did not found new religions each. It was simply a different interpretation of a religion with the same god.

If Jesus truly existed and the Nazarehns are a product of his beliefs,
it was simply another sect which came out of Judaism, with the belif in the G_D of Abraham, not of Yeshua as his son, and then later as the G-D of Abraham himself.

It is hard for you and others to understand and accept this.

Jews have left Christians and Muslims be with their beliefs.
All that is asked....is that Christians and Muslims show the same respect for Jews and all other religions and cults.....and live their lives.

Without invasions, forced conversions, oppression, inhuman treatments, expulsions, vandalism, dilegitimazation, stealing of property, destruction of Holy sites and homes, riots, massacres, etc, etc.....

No Lily,

I think his point was....that even after it was known that 6 Million Jews had been killed during WWII, and how....those who survived and tried to go home were either denied those homes which had been rightfully theirs.....or were killed by those who had been taught to hate the Jews.....and were not going to give up those homes, or businesses, or Synagogues to those they had always looked at as less then themselves.

Simply and clearly, there was no "2nd Holocaust". It was the continuation of the first one.
