Funny, how does oil not found on the edges of a plate lubricate the edge of the plate. Who is this geologist? I would like to read what was actually written and look up responses.

I think the geologist did.

Common sense, if you remove the liquid from its location the possibility of a chain reaction could occur producing a seize up or colliding of plates rubbing together to produce a earth movement.

Didn't take earth science either, did you?

Haarp is not a natural ingredient or causing human made disasters is not natural.

We should not have ever used (so called) fossil fuel, this is the planets essence and possibly from removing (a geologist report/opinion) this liquid from areas could cause friction as in a motor when oil is removed and freezes up, this same analogy applies to earth when oil is removed causes the sides of the earth to rub against each other and create tectonic plate movements.

I'm not the one to ask. I'm an atheist. If an event is consistent with the way we know the world acts, I'm one of the benighted souls who clings to the delusion that it is natural, no deities need apply.

You do know climate change to some degree natural. Humans, who are quite natural, have created the seriousness of the problem by heavy duty use of all natural fossil fuels. All natural ingredients.

Mark,

Now I'm confused !! how was the world supposed to end when the Mayans set the date? God's gonna end the world? God can cause "Natural" causes. So it has to be in the hands of god. But who's god?

So far there have been none without natural causes.

You should start an office pool. What's your date?

Natural disasters don't count. They happen all the time with purely natural causes.

The world gets closer to its end everyday with religious nuttiness. Our sun has a about 6 billion years left, the earth and the other planets, asteroids, moons will all be vaporized by it long before then. Life is the same way, the moment life appears, it has started the path toward inevitable death. Welcome to the real world.

It was a good day for most us of us; the world didn't end. It was yet another failed end of the world prophecy to laugh about. There were probably a lot of good parties the night before.

I think they realized that there was no reason to go out further, there was lots of time for following generations to do it.
