I have a Western Digital my Book that has some of my movies on it. I was looking at the LG ev5500 tv and was wondering if anyone knows for sure if i can plug in my harddrive directly and play those movies?

I'd suggest downloading that model's user manual and reading both the USB specs (supported formats) and the entire section on using the USB input. i.e. If that section only references navigating and displaying pics with no mention of video support then it likely does not support video playback via USB. If it does get into video playback it will surely list what supported video formats can be played.

I have a LE5500 model with USB and it plays AVI, XVID and DIVX off of flash drive and portable harddrive. Hope that helps.
