Wait 'till you've been here a while and 5 dozen writers have been by pluggng their own books...you start to lose patience with them pretty quickly :P.

Tis true. I just don't understand why you would pop onto a forum, without looking around, without checking the top-most post (Important Announcement from Amazon) or even just reading any page within any thread. I know they want to sell books, I get it. But ticking everyone off is not helping anyone sell books.

The rules of the road since forever have been that you read the FAQ/rules of conduct before posting, or at least don't spam. People who do neither have no reason to object to being called on it.

On lots of forums, you have to click a button saying you've read the rules of conduct before you're allowed to post (or sometimes even enter the forum). Too bad Amazon hasn't instituted that.

Then again, spammers gonna spam. It might not cut back on much spam, but at least it would cut back on excuses.

I just finished Broods of Fenrir by Coral Moore. In my review I called it "Forever Knight with Werewolves" which is a pretty good summary. Not a horrific horror book, more of a thriller, but a good read nevertheless.

Risen IS good, not at all what you'd expect. Black humor and a nice metaphoric twist.

I just checked out Risen, it looks pretty good. I see that D. Sippel wrote a review and gave it four stars. I've added it to my wish list. : )

This place has been quiet the last couple days :(

And none of ya'll told me about The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo *pouts*.

It has been marky. I think someone saw the movies and read the book and responded to your post. I forgot what thread it is on, though! LOL
I haven't read those and I don't think I intend to.
However, The Light at the End is kicking ass! (that means I'm enjoying it.) *wink*

Really? Maybe my email notifications for this forum have been on the fritz..I got 3 emails from here in 24 hours (I normally get like 150 lol). I'll check :)

Hehe glad you're liking Light at the End :) I'm downloading it as we speak (uh, as I type)

Tell me again about the dragon tattoo? Sorry :P

I've read that most people say the first half is very very slow but that the second half is worth the wait. I'm only 10% in but enjoying it enough so far.

After a few days of 'lurking' I think I see why you regulars get all bent.

So, how about I throw out what I'm reading on my kindle now...
Among the Living by Timothy W. Long. Anyone read it before? I'm at 36% and it's a pretty good zombie read so far.

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 9, 2012 5:14:58 AM PST
Nice, Steve. I like zombie books to...well, some of them.
I recently read Dead of Night: A Zombie Novel and I loved it. I've not heard of Timothy Long. Let us know how it was when you're done, please!

I've been meaning to check that out, I loved Patient Zero, and if it's half as good as that I'm sure I'll dig it. And I'll def post my thoughts on Among the Living.

If you haven't read them, the Pine Deep Trilogy is AWESOME! The first one is Ghost Road Blues.
