I finally...uh, finalized my curse against spammers. Or maybe to be extended, changed or added on to later. Indecisive much?

A Curse Against Intrusive Spammers, (Yes, I know it's a redundancy.) by Steve O'Rourke.

I and all
Who 'scribe these walls,
Hate all "blank"ing 'spammers';

We'll feel relief,
When they're crushed beneath
A falling box of hammers.

You shouldn't publish if you expect everybody to love your work.

Don't give up writing because of a few haters, no matter how mean they are. It's probably that they're just jealous that they don't have the gumption to get out there and try it. Keep writing in support of all the up and coming new authors out there Garry.

Well, I'd like to know where self promoters are supposed to post...? I'm not an author myself, but I have read a book that I really enjoyed and hope the new author gets more works out. I would hate for people to think that I was posting a bogus review of an ebook I found really enjoyable.

The sad thing is I really enjoyed writing, but after seeing all the attacks against authors including myself, the joy is gone now. People can be so bitter and hateful I've lost all desire to write anymore. So to all you reviewers out there that love ripping the hearts and souls out of writers congratulations I hope you sleep well at night. I hope someone comes along and completely ruins something your so passionate about one of these days as Karma is a bitch and you will get yours mark my words. What goes around comes around. I was told by a well known author not to let it get you down as publishing houses pay people to trash other authors books, all I can say is, that's a crappy way to make a living, destroying peoples dreams.

Jesus why can't we all just get along?

Seeing people try to self-promote in this thread has given me a good laugh today. Thanks!

Hey guys, dont usually chime in here but reading the last few posts ive gotta say that the only thing that makes trolls or spammers is completely ignoreing them. No discussion or arguements about them (yes i realise im contradicting myself :-) ). the only thing that defines them is attention, amd even if they are really rude, which they will if ignored, dont even mention them. Their like little kids, they will scream louder if they dont get what they want.

Anyway, good luck with the toddler!

I read my first Laymon about 3 years ago and have read a good 25+ since then. I admit that "Flesh" is not one of my favorites, but any Laymon offers entertainment value to spare.

I'm not surprised. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck ... I wouldn't take it before a court of law, but generally ... it's ... you know.

I don't think it's possible that Pulpman is an author--too inarticulate, and grammar is atrocious. Please stop arguing with him, and maybe he will go away.

All of Dick Laymon's books were like that. Fast, fun, furious reads. The level of violence was kind of ground breaking in the genre at the time, but it's got a tinge of humor to it as well. LOL - when I discovered him, you couldn't find his books in the US. I found him while on vacation in London and then, when I got home, had to order his books via amazon uk. However he gained popularity in the US again. Any horror fan who hasn't read him yet needs to.

Okay, let me help put an end to this. I'm reading Flesh by Richard Laymon and it's got me turning pages like they're on fire. I've only read a handful of his works, but I've yet to be disappointed and this book seems to be no different. Anyone read it?

Some authors do contribute more to the threads-those that say around and chat without hammering us over the head with their books every 5 minutes.
MOST do not contribute any more than the fly by night spam drop. If we say nothing, this will quickly turn into the MOA. Yeah, no thanks.
Now I'm done. Have a nice day!

Playing games is boring, Pulpman. You know what spamming is and so does everyone else.

You know Amazon's rules and so does everyone else.

You know why they're in place and so does everyone else.

Enjoy your "mysteries."

Marc after reviewing our remarks only one of us is disingenous it is you. You also claim I am not able to tell the difference between authors and spammers well any author who mentions their books is spamming so what is the difference.
I have never question anyones intelligence I just ask questions to see if they really can defend the position that is Amazon law.
I still believe that authors added more than just spam to many threads.
