Ah. Mi was hoping you had. I didn't care for it and was wondering what a zombie fan might think.

You know, I've been taking a little zombie break.
I may need to get a fix soon. I wonder what I already own and could read that fits that bill? ; P

I read the sample and thought the writing was sincere but amateurish. There was nothing about the sample that made me think "I need to keep reading this book" either now or later. I think the problem with the writing from my POV was that someone had told him "a good writer includes detail to make the book believable" but he'd included the wrong, boring detail.

I pretty much agree. I fest it read like a summary more than story, with a few good lines thrown in here and there. I liked some of the ideas but the execution was flat.

I have kept up with the series, because I thought it was a good idea at the time. It is a little flat. I do not care for books that seem to get stuck and I think this is the one I'm thinking of. I did enjoy Deadlocked: A Sookie Stackhouse Novel...but I think you are talking about the zombie series.
