I already bought it, Charlene and it's waiting to be read after I read Aztec Autumn.

Aww bummer!
That's one nice thing about McCammon's publisher-it seems all his books are lendable.

Thanks, Rec! I am a budget conscious lady, so I can't help but try to look out for other people's budgets. I can't help it!

Marc, I can just imagine what doing business with China must be like. I just do not have that level of patience!

As for the lovely Vivian Wu, the last two things I saw her in were Snow Flower and the Secret Fan (she played an aunt) and the Soong Sisters, based on a true story of an affluent family. Her bio is here at Imdb for other movie ideas: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0943180/

Yes, she's very generous that way.

I'm SURE that he could. He and his family do seem to be very generous.

Both in her actual generosity and her recommendations.
It is an honor and a pleasure to have her as a friend.

Thank you.

That's what she said. No, really, she just said that.

That's cool to know.

Funny when an actress you knew as an ingenue is now playing somebody's aunt or mom or grandma.

Also funny, in kinda the opposite way, is when you see the vibrant young mom in TV commercials, bursting with peach-skinned loveliness and a wholesome blush in the cheeks, who looks not a day over 22, cavorting with what I think we're supposed to believe are her own 9- or 10-year-old kids. Whoa. Some serious missing backstory there.

BTW - turns out my library does have "It". I made an ILL request because I didn't see it in the on-line catalog (not easy to look up a book called "It"), but my librarian obviously caught my error and put their copy on reserve for me.

In reply to an earlier post on May 16, 2012 1:29:48 PM PDT
Nice, Kinks! That means you have more time to read it, correct?

KinksRock says:
Unless someone else wants it, too. But at least it's more accessible.

In reply to an earlier post on May 16, 2012 1:42:08 PM PDT
I think you're really going to enjoy it. You've already met two of the characters doing the Lindy Hop in Derry.
Beep beep Ritchie!

Have you read IT, Kinks? I can't recall what the earlier conversation was about.

In reply to an earlier post on May 16, 2012 1:48:44 PM PDT
KinksRock says:
No. I read "11/22/63", but never read "It". It is very hard to discuss a book with a pronoun as a name.
