I have been mening to read Shadowland for a lo-o-o-ng time now.I have the book *nods*.
I have all Straubs novels on my kindle to read lol (including Ghost story, Charlotte?)

LFrog - glad you enjoyed Floating Dragon...it's one I keep returning to. What genre wold you put it in?
Btw, I'm downloading a pack of AHMs right now. I'll list them on the "What have you watched..." thread.

Hehe! *HIGH FIVE*

Btw, RE Straub again: I just noticed he had a new novel - Mrs God - released 2 days ago.

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 17, 2012 1:46:02 PM PST
No, Ghost Story still isn't available for Kindle. You got me all excited for a second there.
There is another Ghost Story but it's written by Jim Butcher. : (
What is an AHM?

[last post from the previous thread I'm replying to lol, promise]

Wait, I'm confused. The two Straub novels I'm referencing re the one with the 4 gys from Vietna and the one with the poisonous gas. I think one is Mr X and one is Floating Dragon?

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 17, 2012 1:46:21 PM PST
*gasp* Really??

I just checked and I dunno how but I *DO* have Peter Straub Ghost Story on my kindle. I just downloaded it s a ".mobi" e-book, though, not fro amazon. It seems to be exactly the same as a kindle book, though. I could try eailing it to you if you wanted?

Oh, ok. That Ms. God looks like it's an older book because the DTB version has reviews on it from 03 and 04. It looks like the Kindle version was just released?
Maybe that means Ghost Story will soon be released in a Kindle version?
Anyway, the reviews on the DTB of Ms. God vary widely and why haven't I ever heard of this book before?

Check out this link to the DTB.
Mrs. God: A Novel
It says it was published 2.14.12 but if you scroll down to the reviews, there are some from 2003 and 2004.

I had no idea that there was a 'limit' that's pretty funny, I wonder if any other thread has gone over the limit

I was on a thread on amazon.co.uk and we got cut off at 100,000 posts! A few years back lol.

marky, I tried to edit my last post because I did screw it up-I meant to say Koko was the Vietnammy one (LOL), not Floating Dragon. I would still consider Floating Dragon to be horror, imo.

Why did the thread lock us out at post 400? Is that the new limit? Shoot, marky and I remember when you could post to 9999 before you were stopped. LOL

Charlene, AHM stands for www.Asian-Horror-Movies.com. If you are a fan of Asian horror (Shutter, The Eye, The Grudge and The Ring are all remakes of Asian horror films), this is THE site to see. We have hundreds of movies as well as an active chat room to talk horror and a forum to post about anything and everything. I am all over it. Marky, is AHM open to movies right now?

omg! You guys are really "partying" on this thread! I couldn't catch up with you! I was kinda glad you got shut-down so I could get in on the ground floor. But, after only 10 mins, you already had 18 posts!

Party over here! Party over here!

LFrog1386 says:
So if they stop at 10,000, why did we get locked out at 400? And how did Charlene know it? Is she psychic??? :)

it says that Mrs God was originally published in Houses without Doors (Signet) and that this is the first time it's been published on it's own ....... sounds like a good story. Not sure if I have House Without Doors, I'll have to check it out

marky77 says:
Nope, AHM is still stuck on the survey thing for me :(
When I said "AHM" I was just being lazy, not refering to the site haha.
