So recently we have been re-inventing our office, and to me, that means desktop too. I would like help with some info to make my computer as fast as some current computers, without buying a totally new one.

Currently we have an HP A6119H, with 2GB DDR2 Memory, 250GB HDD, Intel Pentium Processor, and built in Windows Vista Home Premium. We have had this computer since Summer 2008, and it's beginning to get slow, so here's some questions.

How and can you upgrade to Windows 7 without deleting any files and no external drive? I have an external, but moving them would just be so much easier.

I want about 4GB DDR3 Memory, where and how much would this be?

And extended hard drive, 500GB, how much would that cost, not external, internal.

What processor is fast, sleek and makes the computer easy?

What is an affordable, nice 1080P 21.5' or bigger monitor?

Should I get a new DVD Drive and can I get an Expansion Bay? Expansion Bay broke awhile ago, and if I got a new monitor, I might bite the bullet and get a full on Blu-Ray drive.

Some good wireless keyboard/mouses that are real nice?

Great speaker systems I can get, with Sub-Woofer for not much?

I just got a great new printer, and the difference is amazing, which makes me want to do this- please help!

Save your files on a USB hard drive or flash drive, wipe your hard drive clean, and do a full install of Window 7. Your computer will run Win 7 better than Vista, so you really don't NEED the extra memory. Any more upgrades, and I would buy a new computer. It's cheaper and a whole lot easier.

Windows 7 is the best yet...don't fall for Windows 8. Wireless keyboard/mouse? Can't do better than Logitech. They have endless configurations, depending on what's important to you. My keyboard has a window on top that doubles as a calculator...switch to calculator mode, and paste the result onto an Excel spreadsheet (I'm an accountant, so this is GREAT)

Affordable monitor? I got an ASUS 24" from Newegg on sale. $180, works great. No sales tax, no shipping. Right now I'm waiting for an HP refurbished 19" monitor also from Newegg....$80. I really do need a second monitor, and this should do fine.

500 GB hard drive? Oh, don't go there. 2TB is pretty much standard now.
