I'd be interested in hearing what readers have found funny, and how other writers come up with their humorous premises.
Here's a list of some of the things I tackle in my new collection Pirate Therapy and Other Cures.
Ever wondered what might happen if your therapist was replaced by a pirate? Or how disquieting it would be to receive postcards from your future self? If William Shatner was elected President of the United States, what would his inaugural address sound like? Jesus contends with dinosaurs. Marcel Duchamp describes what happens to a Dadaist who has a monkey's tail grafted to his butt. How did Anne of Green Gables destroy the world? What is Thor's new PR strategy? And so on.
Love to hear yours! (And perhaps we should keep this to the premises that you have already published or read.)
