I am looking for ao solo album by Steve Lacy titled "Ten of Dukes + Six Originals". I could not find it on amazon.com or amazon.uk. However, I saw the album myslef. Any idea how to find the album?

Ahmad,
I found it at http://senatorsrecords.free.fr/
It looks like you can order it directly for 15 Euros + shipping.

Got 44 Lacy albums by Lacy but not that one. Didn't spot it in the Discography below dated 2005 either.

Lacy played a lot of Ellington. Could this have been a cut & paste knock-off? The Japanese have been known to do a lot of that kind of thing. Lacy might have gone for that if he needed the money. But just try to sue the Japanese!

The Lacy album was recorded live in Japan on October 15, 2000. Studabacher is correct in that it is on the Senators label. Probably the album did not surface before 2005, so was not included in the discography that Dan refers to. It does appear in the current Tom Lord discography.

Nice to be able to afford that.

Dan,

The Lord discography on line costs $11.00 a month. I use to a lot. I do not have my collection computerized like you do, so the discography is a good alternative.

There's also the site,"Discogs"-entries by the world population;although much is missing,on the flip side ,there's music/jazz you can't find in ,The Lord Discography.A great place to find rare music in any medium,at great prices>requires registration, only
