In addition to being something negative, it steals the identity of a deceased musician. Never before I have I seen such a display of sickness and maliciousness.Must be a record for "Customers don't think this post adds to the discussion/deleted by Amazon".
There seems to be no recognition of shameful behavior.
How is it that Amazon can continue to let this piece of screen clutter continually make absurd, deceptive and useless posts?
If any have thoughts of removing it from an otherwise positive forum, please post and maybe we can collectivelly put it to an end.

I just replied to YET another one of his identity-stealing posts with this:

"Dear Amazon: The prior poster claims to be the jazz guitarist Cal Collins. Here is Cal Collins's obituary, as carried in the New York Times: http://www.nytimes.com/2001/08/29/arts/cal-collins-jazz-guitarist-68.html

If the posts in Amazon forums are actually read or reviewed, as I hope they are, please delete the prior poster's post. That said, given the fact that this is not the first time (by any means) that he has made this identity-stealing claim, perhaps additional actions should be in order."

Yes, perhaps he has some problems that we should actually all be pitying him for. Still, Amazon needs to act on him, and soon.

Frankly I don't believe that Amazon cares very much what happens to the jazz forum so they won't do much as long as it is not a really gross posting or one with personal threats in it. I mean how many people come on this forum compared to other music oriented forums. We have been thrown onto the slag heap of musical history. If everyone who came here stopped buying CDs from Amazon it would probably go totally unnoticed. It's a shame but this whole thing has become a grin and bare it situation where nut cases are allowed to run wild. How long do you think this doofus' BS would last on private forums like AAJ or Jazz Corner? Not even a New York minute. This forum is starting to look like the asylum where the Internet jazz world sends its lunatics.

I thought you were done posting here? Did you decide not to adhere to your promise and that is why you deleted your comment stating such? This is all too funny

This is why you get "9-13 Nos on every post":

Hi Harry
I was just listening to "The Mundell Lowe Quartet" the tune is Bach Revisited.....I've never heard the tune before, but if you like jazz guitar, you'll love this tune, that is, if you're into, Mundell...I know him, this is a great CD.

OK, I had a purpose in picking you for this email. I wanted someone who is fairly new here, for a purpose. Ever since I've been here, I have been constantly harrassed & couldn't figure out why. One is a member of the KKK; another Aryan supremacy, Others would get here as newbies & have their minds poisoned. Since I've been here, by contractual agreement, as long as I played guitar I couldn't divulge my real name as a jazz guitarist. So now I can. No big deal....I'm Cal Collins. On my liner notes I think it says I was born in Cleveland. The picture of me isn't the same, the age isn't the same, etc. Most jazz musicians become house hold names after they're dead. Examples; Chet Baker, Lennie Brea (Canadians like me;) actually I was born in the U.S. but moved to Canada after my parents emigrated from Ruissia....

But I digress.

How do I get them kicked off; it's never been done before.
On one of my gigs I met a young African American who played bass. It was a short weekend gig, & it turned out that he worked at one time for http://Amazon.com. I asked him if he still had any contacts at Amazon. He said he did. I asked him if there were any way to get someone kicked off the forum. He didn't know, but he would find out. We exchanged emails & a few months later, he wrote me that it could be done. Of all the guys involved and some jerk from SEattle, there were 13. Nitya is the worst, Jeffery Gifford, Mr. P, Brian, ....if you stay I'm going to give these thirteen about 2 or 3 months to mend their ways. I can't tell anyone how to do it, because, then everybody would be kicking off people they didn't like & it would hurt the forum which I love so much.

I know you don't understand all this, but watch the NOs pop up sometimes within minutes of the post. They don't read them, but just put no next to evryone I write....Guess that's all for now.....talk later,

JJ

"Do you really think I didn't know that Cal died in 2001?":

THEN WHY DID YOU CLAIM TO BE HIM, HM?

----------

I stand by my prior comments.

Brian says:
" I also post to the classical forum, & I get normal responses from normal, well-grounded people who mtake their music seriously."

Another lie.
He was called out and laughed off the "Classical Forum" for the same bs he does on the jazz forum.
To claim credit and steal the identity of a well liked and honorable deceased musician is about as low and shameful as one can go.
I do not care if he is damaged goods after his most recent conduct. Nothing it says is credible. Because it may or may not have happened to it does not make it important. If it reads this then understand.....No one cares what you claim and/or post. Your words are less then meaningless.
This is not the place to get therapy. Seek help!
Go to a pyschiatrist, take your meds, and confess your sins in solitude.

It says, "Why I told that outrageous lie, I don't know."
Answer: Your ill and need professional help that is not available on a jazz music forum.

"JJ"" says:
I don't care about the dumb NOs. Sticks & stones, bud......sticks & stones"

Another lie based on your continuing mention of the "no" votes.
Your posts have no validity.
Your words are meaningless.
You are incapable of positive contribution as it seems that you thrive on self promotion, lies and are mentaly ill.
Based on the amount of your posts that do not add to the discussion or are deleted should in no uncertain terms indicate that you are not a positive to this forum.
How you can make such a transparent attempt to steal the identity of an honorable and deceased musician in and of itself speaks volumes of the depths to which you sink. Pathetic and shameful.
Have the decency to take a pause, recognize your illness and seek proper treatment.
Get the help you so desparately need, take a long vacation from posting and make an attempt to treat people as you would wish to be treated.
Perhaps you are not capable of such self reflection, in which case go away and be a drama queen somewhere else.
Currently you do more harm then good.

And yet another lie:

JJ says: I've been putting up with this stuff for four years

You have not been on the Jazz Forum for four years. Oh wait maybe you went through the same "we dislike you JJ get outta here" on some other thread before you started torturing the posters with your nonsense on the jazz threads.

Amazon, why have you not pulled it's account?
There is a small but dedicated group that participate and usually the posting is insightful and enjoyable. Amazon, clearly you can take account of the amount of negative screen clutter, false claims and the lowest of all the grave robbing of an accomplished and respected musician.
Amazon, why do you not pull the account of "jj"? No matter how you add it up he is a negative. Screen clutter extrodinaire. Given the chance the Jazz forum could flurish. While we are a small market, we are dedicated.
Is there no boundry to say enough is enough?
Amazon, do the right thing and bounce "jj". Let him get the therapy , meds, counselling and help he needs elsewhere.

Id expect to be kicked off ANY site if I " wrieen" on them 250-260 times. This is a democracy and its up to the customers to vote you off. Your being voted off by the mere fact that "customers dont think your postings add anything to the discussion". Another NO vote has just been cast. Long live customers rights.

I am not talking about YOU. YOU don't count. Amazon is a BIG outfit. If everyone on this board disappeared tomorrow Amazon's business office would not even notice it. This is a multi-billion dollar business they really don't give a **** about some dude in Canada. Many you have an ego that is beyond reason. Do you really think if you even bought 6 or 7 CDs a week or a day. they'd miss you? Get real. They sell millions of products every day. Scroll down and see where they have operations. Try reading my post again because you have done what you always do read your own words and not may attention to what the other person has written. No wonder you have a target on you back...you put it there.

I don't think anyone really wants you to leave. They seem to have more fun messing with you. That's also your own fault. It doesn't happen to anyone else. That should indicate something to you. Seriously, ask your doctor to read this forum. He might come up with a cure for all your maladies.
