Cindy - If you mean the Kindle Paperwhite the answer is yes but not very well. You can only access it through WiFi, not 3G and the browser on the Paperwhite is clunky. The Paperwhite has an eInk screen which doesn't do video or any other little moving things. I would say you can get your email on a Paperwhite in a pinch but I wouldn't want to do it very often.

Just purchased my Paperwhite. Started downloading books now the thing keeps rotating from screen to start screen, back to home screen, back to start screen. Have done hard reset several times, does not fix issue. Downloaded update to computer in hopes it would automatically download (as instructions says it will), but nothing changing. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, how did you get it resolved?

Sounds like that's worth starting a thread.

The e-ink Kindles are not tablet computers. They're not intended to be tablet computers. They are dedicated readers for ebooks. That's what they are. That's what they do, in my opinion, very well. If you want to watch movies, surf the web, do your email, and, most of all, play games then get a tablet. There are a lot of them available including one from Kindle.

I usually turn my Kindle Keyboard off every night and recharge when necessary. If I understand the User's Guide, you never turn the Paperwhite off, just let it go the sleep. Is that right? Thank you.

You shouldn't be turning you KK off every night either. Just put it to sleep. It actually uses more power to do a complete shutdown and restart than it takes just sitting in sleep mode for a couple days.
