**sad**

And I miss all my friends from here.

(And I really hate Goodreads. Ditto doubly FB and all the myriad other silly places.)

I keep many of you close to my heart, even when I haven't talked to you in ages.

And I wish you all the happiest holidays. :)

Hi Scamp.
Yep, I miss that it used to be a thriving place. Remember the book clubs? Anywho, have a blessed holiday. ;)

Yasssireee, stranger, I remember when this used to be a thrivin' place.

Then strange things started happenin'.

You'd hear some fool author whinin' about somethin,' down at the Mystery Lovers' Cafe or some place. At first, people wouldn't say nothin', but they'd go all quiet like.
But that night, as you lay in bed, you'd hear a clatterin' of hooves goin' down the road outside, and you'd see strange lights. You'd look out the window, and there was a mob ridin' down the road, on the back of their drama llamas, holdin' pitchforks and torches.

The next mornin', the whining authors' house would be burned to the ground, and neither him nor his family was anywhere to be found.

But the strangest thing is, nobody saw anythin.'
No, nor heard anythin', neither.

So it's no surprise that pretty soon 'they' got bolder. An author would say he was an author right on the town square, cool as you please. Quick as a flash, a posse of ten or twenty would have surrounded him an' be horsewhippin' him down the road to his house. Pretty soon, him n' his family would be on the next stagecoach out of town, an' they'd be lucky they weren't covered in tar an' horsefeathers.

Because that was the next thing that started happenin...'

Awww, shoot, I see them comin' now....

You can feel it happening, can't you, the loss of audience and relevance?

Shh. Don't feed the trolls. It only encourages them.

Happy wonderful holidays Miss Mayhem and Charlene! ;)
Hopefully you guys won't be getting any of the crappy weather coming in.

ETA: EDWARD! You have been missed. Hopefully Twinny will come around too!

Wow! All in the same place: Charlene! G.! Mayhem! Edward! FoundQuilting! HJ!

I propose a coffee to a wonderful holiday season for all. (I would do it with champagne, but I don't have any.)

(I may be too cheap to buy champagne.)

Edward! **HUGS**

Do you remember when it was that KBF first got on the most active list? I believe I first showed up here on any regular basis right after the fire release.

How is your forum going??? :)

Scamp says:
Ha ha ha! How true.

One of the few *ignores* that I mostly really ignore is GF, but I read her/his posts in this thread because I had to know what you and Mayhem were responding to.

And twinny. And come to think of it, I haven't seen much of Marcus or J, either. Perchance they will stop by??

The book clubs.... :(:(:(

I so miss that being here. I belong to three book clubs on GR and haven't visited one of them in ages. So many threaded topics, so very *busy*, so hard to follow who is saying what to whom: "John says: Sally says: Mike says: 'I think it's great...'" Scamp says: what?
