Many academic titles I bought (or tried a sample) don't have any footnotes link. They're expensive... and everyone knows that, in a Kindle book, a note without a link is completely useless... Duke Press, Univ Of Minnesota Press, everyone with the same problem...

R. Acoya says:
Have you contacted the publishers, who are the parties responsible for the contents of their books?

*Pennsylvania

Frederick says:
It is a question of format. I tried converting my academic text book into Kindle format and it just doesn't work. You can't put page numbers, yet alone footnotes. Nor can you put diagrams, bullets, or change the indents. Finally, the underlining used in references does not come out. In the end, I gave up.

To insert a product link use the format: [[ASIN:ASIN product-title]] (What's this?)
