Perhaps a silly question, but I'm at times a pretty silly guy!... okay..
So, after you receive the book, how long can you keep it?..

S. Pedi,
I saw you also posted in the Kindle forum, where you seemed a little confused about book costs/library books?

If you buy a book, you buy a license and in theory get to keep it forever or until the next major technology overhaul (don't think anyone's anticipating a near-term change, though...)

Many books are offered free each day, if you buy one of those you'll be charged 0.00 but it's technically still a 'sale' and you get to keep the book just like any other book you purchase with cash.

If you are an Amazon Prime member, you pay $79/annually and in addition to the primary shipping benefit you can borrow ONE book a month from the Kindle Owners Lending Library (KOLL). You have to have an actual kindle, not an app, to use this benefit. You may keep the book for as long as you like, but can't borrow another one until you return the first (and a new calendar month has started.) Books are returned from your Manage Your Kindle page, under actions.

Almost forgot - if you borrow books from the public library, they are returned from the same Manage Your Kindle page.
