Hello all.

My step-dad just bought a new baseball video game for the Wii and I played it last night. Now my arm hurts :(

But it was fun! :)

The same. Just kind of bummbed because my first college class that was set for Tuesday's and Thursdays for six weeks was cancelled. :(

Lol, it's fun, but tiring if you play it the way my sister and I do! We played on opposite teams and you each get the opportunity to bat and pitch.

If you're batting you also have to run your guys around the bases by pumpung your arm up and down to make him go fast and swing your arm if you want him to slide to the base.

If you're pitching you also have to run your outfielders to the ball and throw it to the correct base. :)

I think this is the game. The Bigs

Sounds like an energetic game.

Did you uniform get dirty when you slid into base? ;)

My sister got a kindle for her birthday, lol. She's thrilled with it and has already borrowed a book from me. She doesn't currently have any money in her account so she's living on free books and loaned titles from me. ;) i have lots for her.

Thankfully, there are free books aplenty in the Kindle store. Lots of awesome classics and new stuff also.

We have a book club going if you want to join in. We'll be reading The Moonstone by Wilkie Collins. It's free. :)

She's glad that there are good books for free. She was afraid they would all suck. I set her straight pretty quickly ;)

C. Gaither says:
Day late, dollar short, but...

I've found that the books I like best are a blend of fantasy and horror. I think it's because I love beauty in books, and nothing makes beauty more clear than a stark contrast between something beautiful and something terrible. To quote Switchfoot, "The Shadow proves the Sunshine". Horror elements in a fantasy novel provide an element of darkness that makes the light all that much more beautiful. Fantasy elements in a horror story, done in a positive light, give you a glimpse of light that makes everything else (almost) okay. For a little while. Until the monsters show back up.

(And King rocks.)

You are going to love it, Ani!!!!

You know you will enjoy the challenges.

You'll love being an adult and being treated like one.

Remember, it's going to be better than high school!!!

Just remember, all the other new students will be just as nervous as you. I'm nervous on the first day of school with my little first graders, too.

Hahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For you, B., I'll remove the r in wrench. In fact, maybe I should just change my name to: Scarlet 'Anna Karenina,' a Wench in the Library.

In reply to an earlier post on Aug 11, 2012 2:30:17 PM PDT
I just changed my name because of your post! ;)
