Splinker says:
Victim of a roving internet gang? Did you post something about the weather only to be accused of arson? Post your story here. Feel free to include links. I shall update this OP as necessary.
Come here and R.I.P.

1. July 11, 2012. "Doobie." Crime: attempted reasonableness (alleged).
2. D. Brimson. Author. Crime: alleged snark on "Why Indies get self promo wrong..." Rap sheet: sexist.

J.D.Hallowell, Crime:posting a notice that some blog or other was requesting reviewers.
Told by G., who hadn't bothered to read the original post, to take it to the MOA.

P.S.Wright, partially eaten for having surreptitiously introduced writerly concerns into a conversation, but who doesn't want the help of ugly trolls, thankyouverymuch.

Ray Chen Smith. Crime: attempting to start a conversation about life-changing novels but posting a link to his own book at the end. Penalty: extreme downvoting.

5. Splinker.
Crimes:having started a thread which was later removed, with several people including himself claiming credit for the removal.
Having started many threads.
Being ubiquitous.
Punishment: lynching currently in progress on the 'review mafia' thread.
(immediately reanimated)

Mark Budman. Crime:asking an asinine question, which in itself might not have attracted criticism, if it weren't for the fact that it got a surprising number of replies and started an active thread. He was immediately told to take it to the moa.

This place is sounding worse than Chicago.

Posted on Jul 11, 2012 10:42:29 AM PDT
And what exactly is wrong with Chicago? :)

Splinker says:
The murder rate is up 40% this year.

Posted on Jul 11, 2012 10:45:17 AM PDT
We can do better than that!

Posted on Jul 11, 2012 10:46:08 AM PDT
Thats why I stay out of those neighborhoods. I just get to clean up the messes from the ones who make it.

I've only recently found another one.
Ray Chen Smith. Crime: attempting to start a conversation about life-changing novels but posting a link to his own book at the end. Penalty: extreme downvoting.
Mind you, that is humane compared to what used to happen.

In reply to an earlier post on Jul 11, 2012 5:32:48 PM PDT
Okay, I guess it hasn't really been proven if I was being reasonable, but logical....maybe.

You will note, Charlene, that I applaud the improvement in the treatment meted out to the young miscreant. In olden times- about five months ago- he would have been drawn and quartered, and then the pieces would have been tarred and feathered.

Not to be overly punctilious, but didn't you say you were going to read?

Splinker...
Why is it that every discussion you start...the original message gets downvoted? I mean always it seems. Do you have a secret stalker or a lynch mob after you?

In reply to an earlier post on Jul 11, 2012 6:22:36 PM PDT
A lynch mob.
The same one that is after you.

Are you leading it? LOL

Splinker says:
Yes, actually.

So, this isn't a haven of safety from the storms that rage, then?

Splinker says:
Here in the afterlife, downvoting can no longer hurt us.

Posted on Jul 12, 2012 3:59:59 AM PDT
A bonus to being deader, then.

In reply to an earlier post on Jul 12, 2012 4:02:53 AM PDT
Splinker says:
That's so weird. I wrote a book called "I've Been Deader."

Posted on Jul 12, 2012 4:42:47 AM PDT
Really?

What a co incidence. I've been accused of that, too.
