Clearly, the finest literary conversations in the world today are being held right here on the Kindle book forum, and one day, people will look back and realize that this was the incubator where the future of literature was born, nurtured, molded and formed. Surely a movie will be made enshrining our place in history.

The following are the faces and voices I hear when I read your posts. Please assume that all of these characters are at the height of their carriers. There are a few of you who are newer who I haven't yet come up with a picture of, and others whose gender I am not sure of and I DO NOT want to miscast someone by gender! So if I missed you don't feel bad... cast yourself! I did. :)

^ Steve Buscemi? Or maybe John Leguizamo? Or any other actor that plays the annoying-yappy-puppy character.

If I may toot my own horn.

Remi!!! thanks for chiming in. You are just new enough around here that I hadn't gotten a good take on your "voice" yet. But I can't imagine John Leguizamo would ever be bad!

Nice to meet you by the way! Toot away!

*grinning* I'm happy to be Sandra Bullock! I wish I had her money. And her looks. : )

That's pretty good, Ed-imaginative. But who are you?

In reply to an earlier post on Jan 25, 2012 9:10:35 AM PST
Cast good ol' Tom Selleck to play me. :)

I bet your even prettier.
We will have to work on the money part!

With or without the 'stache?

In reply to an earlier post on Jan 25, 2012 9:28:02 AM PST
I couldn't grow a 'stache if I wanted to, but Tom looks funny with out one!

I don't know about that Ed, but I'm having fun picturing you as Tom Selleck!

J should be happy to find out he's James Dean! Such a rebel.

I love it! (But I'm jealous of Marion! Grace Kelly was beautiful and when I was little, I wanted to grow up to look like her. I'll leave you to wonder whether I achieved that aim or not! However, Audrey Hepburn had grace and class.) I love the cast from all times that you put together, Edward. ;) And now I know to picture Tom Selleck when I see you here! (He's very tall! I saw him once in an airport, and he looked even taller in person.) Lots of quite yummy men on the list!

I adore Grace Kelly. She was ridiculously gorgeous in Rear Window. And her clothes . . . drool.

I was just going to say the same thing, Christine.
I finally saw the original version of that movie last year, and not only did I fall in love with Jimmy Stewart all over again, I also fell in love with Grace Kelly and their interaction together.
I originally fell in love with Jimmy Stewart when watching Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.

Yeah, it's all about the 'stache. Without it he's Tom Selleck. With it, he's "The Tom!"

In reply to an earlier post on Jan 25, 2012 10:34:24 AM PST
Jimmy Stewart is my favorite actor of all time.

Do you think if he were alive today, we would call him JStew & he'd be dating KStew?

Celebrities were so much classier back then. At least publicly. You'd never see Grace Kelly showing off her ankle bracelet or her failure to wear underpants, and no one ever caught Jimmy Stewart in a voicemail screaming at his kid and calling her a pig.

Everything was much more private then than it is now. Even celebs still had some measure of privacy back then.
I really just want to go home now and watch Rear Window!

Ed, yes! Modesty is underrated!

Can I be Princess Di?

Rear Window is one of my all-time favorite movies. I'm not much of one for watching movies over again, but I can watch Rear Window at least once a year and still enjoy it. There's also just so much going on in the background that it's fun to spot new things. Raymond Burr was creepy in it, too. And, of course, Grace Kelly was gorgeous in it. I loved when she sneaked into the killer's apartment, and we have to watch Jimmy Stewart's character watching as the killer returns.

Do you look good in a flowing dress and a tiara?
