kindle order status pending

I just found out my credit card is expired when I made purchases on my kindle 3, so I got the email from amazon about needing to verify my credit card ect. So I followed the link on the email and updated my card to the new exp. date. However in the "my digital downloads" section it still says status is "pending" for the purchase and I get the same email again for that item about my credit card. Any further purchases I made on my kindle are not transfered to my kindle but to the "my digital downloads" section in my kindle account, and I'm still receiving email about difficulties with my credit card for these items. I'm just wondering how long its going to take to receive my updated card info and resume the downloads, or is there another problem? Thanks.
