I just receive my Kindle fire today but I have noticed a blue line across the top of screen. (about 2 inch from the top). Does anyone have similar thing on your Kindle fire?
Is this normal? or it is a flaw.
Should I return it? Thank you

I am sure that it is not normal. Contact Amazon's Kindle CS and ask them about it. Click Help (near center at top of new Amazon page; upper right on old pages). Click Kindle (left column) or Kindle Help & Tools in the middle. Click Contact us (right column). Or you can go to http://www.amazon.com/contact-us

You can also give them a call at:

U.S. and Canada: 1-866-216-1072
Kindle Support: 1-866-321-8851
International: 1-206-266-2992

Or, they will call you back if that facility is enabled for your country. You leave your info at: https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/contact-us/kindle-help.html?ie=UTF8 - you must leave your landline phone number if you live outside the U.S.A., Australia or New Zealand. This works really well.

Hello Chia-feng Liu,

Thank you John Hodgkinson for you help on this post.

I recommend to try performing a hard reset on your Kindle Fire first, it may resolve intermittent issues, like the one you are experiencing.

To perform a hard reset on your Kindle Fire, press and hold the power button for 20 seconds and then release. After the device has completely turned off, press the power button to restart your Kindle Fire.

If performing a hard reset on your Kindle Fire doesn't help, you can reach us and we will be more then glad to assist you.

I hope this helps.
Best Regards,

J. Daniels

Also,

Do you have Kindle Fire Software Update Version 6.2? If not scroll down a bit and read and get it. May solve the problem.

Thank you all for the suggestion.
I have tried a hard rest on my Kindle Fire but it did not work. The blue line is still there.
I will call the Customer Service later today.
Thank you

Charge the Kindle Fire for at least 30 minutes, then do this.

To perform a reset on your Kindle Fire (disconnect from any power-source and hold the power button on for a **minimum** of 20 seconds. **After the device has completely turned off, press the power button to restart your Kindle Fire**.)

See if that solves the problem, if not.

I called Customer Service and after I told them I had a blue line on the top of my screen, they told me they were sending a replacement. I now have multiple lines on my screen, so it seems this is a serious issue. Call Customer Service!

I started with just one line about 2/3 of the way down my screen in tablet mode. Amazon was wonderful and I've already received the new one...good thing because now there are TWO more blue lines on the top of the screen :( I really hope this isn't a recurring issue!!

i just purchased my kindle fire yesterday. i was browsing facebook earlier and a thin blue line appeared horizontally across the screen and has not gone away-despite two hard re sets. the guy at amazon claimed he'd never hear of this... i find that hard to believe esp considering just what ive found right here on their very own site. they are sending a replacement but if this is an on-going issue...

I am having the same issue. I have had my Kindle Fire for about 6 days and this morning I noticed a single blue line and two purple ones about 3/4 from the top of the screen. They just appeared out of nowhere. I will be calling customer service now.

Thanks

The suggested reset does not work!

I have just received my second Kindle Fire and it has one thin blue line and two thin magenta lines running horizontally across the screen. My first one was better because it only had two lines, one blue and one magenta. This is starting to sound like a serious flaw in this product!
