Yes. I'm so sorry, that I signed up for Amazon Prime once my freebie 30-day trial period that came with the Fire expired. And I do have a "real" tablet, called an iPad. I prefer reading my Kindle books on the smaller form of the Fire though, and I do so love my Android apps. :)

Nope! I love my iPad and my Fire for different reasons because they do different things. If you want a full-fledged tablet, there are several good ones available.

Nope. I love it. It's all the tablet I need. I use it all the time.

I got my wife a Fire for Christmas. In keeping with out long-established tradition of pilfering presents well before the appointed date, she's already opened it, turned it on, and spent considerable time playing with it while I'm out of sight.

She loves it. Of course she's also cognizant that the Fire is not, and was never designed to be, an iPad. But it performs its role as an Amazon-centric media browser quite well.

So no, I am not sorry.

Nope, not at all. I love my Fire.

Nope. This is exactly the tablet I wanted. I use it alot.

Why would you think the Kindle Fire isn't a "real" tablet?

It performs as advertised, does everything I want from an entertainment device, and was priced well within my budget.

If you regret your purchase, Amazon has an amazing return policy.

I enjoy the Fire quite a bit. I does everything I need to do and is much lighter and more portable than my iPad - better pixel resolution and stereo instead of just mono sound with my ear buds. I enjoy the iPad, but am finding that I leave it mostly by the coffee table for occasional web surfing.

The Fire has been fantastic.

I'm not sorry at all. Since I got my Fire I've barely touched my netbook. I like to surf while watching Tv and the Fire is great for that. Plus games, reading, etc, which are things I didn't do on my netbook.

Love my Fire. There isn't a thing I want to do on a tablet that the Fire doesn't do. If I wanted an iPad, I would have bought one.

Not even a little bit. It does exactly what I expected it to do at a price that is reasonable. Everyone has different expectations and needs and I'm an Amazon girl. Can't stand iTunes or Apple, just don't feel the need to pay all that extra money for an Apple logo and terrible customer service.

I really like my Fire. My wife bought a Blackberry Playbook and I think she wishes she had bought a Fire instead!

I love my fire. It does everything I hoped it would do and more. If I wanted a iPad I would have bought one, instead I saved a lot of money and am enjoying all my free tv shows and movies!

I am glad I saw this thread. I think this helps me out. I was going back and forth and if I should get a Fire, or keep my Kindle 3 and save up for a more expensive tablet. I think at the price, the Fire is looking like the clear choice for me.

Cotton Socks says:
Yes, I am sorry I bought a Fire. So are my wife and my dog. I have begun reading books again and having a great re-awakening. I cannot remember why I decided to quit fiction about 20-years back, and I curse Amazon for inventing the Fire and selling it at a price I can afford.

Adding to that curse, there is my suffering with all of the free streaming videos and some 300 free books every day. Yeah, bad decision. Now if my wife can pry it from my fingers she may try and send it back.
