-- Kindle 1
-- Kindle 2
-- Kindle Keyboard ("Kindle 3" also acceptable)
-- Kindle (In this one case, perhaps "$79 Kindle" is less confusing)
-- Kindle Touch
-- Kindle DX
-- Kindle Fire

Avoid: Kindle 4, Baby Kindle.

Extra credit: iPod touch, not iTouch.

I don't think the majority are confused. Kindle 4 makes perfect sense being that it comes after Kindle 3.

I am certainly not confused and I refuse to type Kindle Keyboard rather than K3, and when I get my new Kindle, I am not calling it the $109 Kindle, since outside US, we can't purchase the $79 Kindle.

Who appointed you Amazon's official namer?

I think "baby Kindle" is a very appropriate name for the $79/$109 Kindle. As someone on another thread said, it's small, and it doesn't talk. (-:

This thread is hilarious. We could call it "Not the Baby Kindle But Just the Plain Ol' Kindle That's Either $79 or $109."

Can we also allow for foreign currency losses? ;-)

I use KT for Kindle Touch, KK for Keyboard Kindle (or K3), KF for Kindle Fire, K1, K2, or KDX. I hope that is not too confusing for people.

I don't see any reason why not. After all, we MUST avoid confusion.

So far, I'm able to keep up, Kessa. But I think we should ask Jeff to quit issuing Kindles because it's overwhelming for some to figure out what the terms mean.

Excellent! Today I may order a "Not the Baby Kindle But Just the Plain Ol' Kindle That's Either $79 or $109, but at 09.38 AEST it will cost me $111.91 plus shipping"

Yes Master! Can I get you anything else which you're busy making pointless posts? Maybe an iced tea? Or a Geek Squad employee who can come over and jack up your computer to prevent you from making further inane requests?

In reply to an earlier post on Oct 6, 2011 4:41:23 PM PDT
Well... that might work if we abbreviated it "NTBKBJTPOKTE79109".

Easy to remember and simple to type.

The only one I don't like is Kindle 4. What are the referring to> Not the kindle because it still a k3 basically. The kindle touch, no , because it's a different product as is the fire

It's actually minus some features on the K3, so maybe it should be the K2.9, or the Time Travel Kindle because it goes backward in Kindle evolution, but also lets us pre-order future books and read current ones.
