I have no idea what's in it. I shut down and even shut off WIFI and as soon as I shut it off it updated. Must have downloaded when I was using it. I'll go to fire page and see if it says anything.

Apparently its been rolling out the past several hours. No clue on what it updates, nothing I can see. And no patch notes. Why no patch notes? I've long been an online gamer and I gotta say, making changes without the courtesy of patch notes is poor Customer Service.

Any idea what the update does? I read the info on the fire page and it is about as clear as mud. I didn't see it listing anything I thought I didn't already have.

Better parental controls in the ap store, more responsive touchscreen, back button works better, less spazzy carousel navigation, and typing is improved.

And way faster web browsing!

It doesn't delete unwanted preinstalled apps or adjust the carousel or do anything else that we are all hoping for. I was hoping it would straighten out the glitchiness of the page turning and add the a-z tab on the side of the books like the apple app does.

It unroots the units that were jailbroken.

warder says:
It just replaces default system files with defaults... this has a side effect of unrooting a rooted unit, but you simply re-root.

Does anyone notice that WiFi isnt working after a long idle in Version 6.2? I had to do few attempts to make WiFi work. I wonder why. But for now, it is working. Strange.

It didn't affect my wi-fi connections.

Mine either.

Dean, try doing a hard reset. If that doesn't cure the problem try deregistering your device and then reregistering it and putting your wifi info back in.
