I got Starfish (peter watts) from Amazon when it was a free (TOR?) download. I was so impressed with it I went to Watts' site to learn about more of his books and lo and behold the ENTIRE 4 book series is available under a creative commons license for free! Amazing! Use the links at the top of each page to download the prc or pdb or pdf or zipped html.

Am almost done with Starfish - its a terrific read - but gritty stuff for sure.

Thanks for the heads up. For those wondering what will work on a Kindle I'd recommend downloading the Mobipocket versions.

it would unfortunately appear that Mobipocket files do not really work being downloaded via Safari on a Mac...

pstanton,

Do you mean if you wanted to read it on a Mac? I don't think Mobipocket software is available yet for the Mac. I would think that downloading the file for the purpose of loading it on your Kindle would work fine though but I don't have a Mac to test it on. I can't imagine that a Mac would change the file.

Have you tried right-clicking and choosing "Save linked file as..."?
