E King. First download the kindle APP from the ITUNES store to your ipod touch. The app is free!

When you first open the app on your ipod, make sure you have a wifi connection. You will need that to log in and register the ipod to your kindle account at amazon. It takes 10 seconds! You use your normal amazon account log in.

Once Amazon has your ipod registered, you can download any book you bought from amazon either via the ipod or via the Manage Your Kindle page.

It is very very easy and there are detailed instructions in the Kindle Users Guide.

Dear E. King: I now read all my Kindle books on the ipod touch. Here is what I did: on your ipod goes to "app store" and download the Kindle app; I think then I had to register the ipod by putting in my Amazon information; after registering your ipod, any books you have purchased will show up on the ipod thru the Kindle app home screen; if you want to purchase a book, on the home screen of theKindle app at the upper right there is button "Get Books"; click that button and choose and buy your book, it will automatically dowmload. Hope this helps.

My son has an ITouch. I downloaded Pendragon for him on my Kindle. Can he get just that book on his Itouch? He is 11 and I don't want him to have access to all the books I have purchased :)

Sigrun Tholl Thorsteinsdottir,
the kindle book is downloaded through the internet to the iTouch. You do not have to be part of the whispernet network to download books to the iTouch/iPhone.

Libby Lou,
you can register your son's iTouch, download that one book and then de register him. If there are books you routinely buy just for him that you do not read yourself, you can start an Amazon account just for him.

Is your credit card a US bank credit card and your billing address a US address?

I have the iphone, same app, but I can purchase on the go.

My question is, with the PDF conversion, I am taking courses online, and the texts are in PDF format. Can I have these converted and put on my Iphone through the Kindle app, or is this something I need the Kindle for.

Billing address is US but Credit Card is Icelandic.
Ircan buy regular books with Icelandic credit card and Icelandic Address, or Icelandic credit card and US Address.
Are there some other rules for Kindle books ?

Sigrun use your Icelandic credit card to buy an Amazon Gift Card then use the gift card for the one click with the U.S. address

mel5051 is correct. You can only buy Kindle books with a US bank credit card that is tied to a US billing address. The way to get around this is

1) start a new amazon account (ex. SigrunUS) with a valid US address. I used my brother's. Do not put any of your Icelandic information on this account
2) buy Amazon e-giftcards with your Icelandic credit cards
3) apply the giftcard to your US amazon account
4) use this account to buy kindle books

Other people will tell you to delete Icelandic info from your usual Amazon account before buying kindle books but since I buy a lot, I have 2 Amazon accounts. You just need a different email address to start a new Amazon account.
