I don't have wireless & finally figured out how to download e-books to pc. I have USB cord, but can't figure out how to load books onto Kindle. The fun is gone and the frustration has set in.

Instructions taken from Kindle Help Page:

To download your items from Manage Your Kindle:

1. Visit the Manage Your Kindle page (http://www.amazon.com/manageyourkindle).
2. Locate the item you wish to download in the "Your Orders " section at the bottom of the page. If you have a lot of content, you may need to use the Previous and Next options at the bottom to navigate through all of your content.
3. Click on "Deliver to. . ." next to the title and choose "Transfer via Computer" from the list.
4. Save the file to your computer when prompted by your web browser.
5. Connect Kindle to your computer with the USB cable.
6. Use your computer's file browser to drag and drop the file to your Kindle.

It's really not hard at all. Be sure to move the books into your Kindle's documents folder.

I do it for books I download from other sources than Amazon. Once you get used to it, it's quite simple.

You can transfer music with the USB cable as well.

thanks Deanna! I was having the same problem, but didn't realize I had to drag the files to the documents folder.
Off to see what I can download next!

Have you verified that the file is being copied into the documents folder?

Also verify you chose the 'transfer via computer' and directed it to the appropriately named Kindle (if you have more than one Kindle, also not downloaded to the 'Kindle for PC' or 'Kindle for Mac' apps for example).
