How can I make a PDF file that I've moved to my Kindle readable on my iPhone Kindle app. I'm not able to see it. I'm only able to see the books I've purchased.

Hi Ervin..Sorry I have a question for you. If I buy a book in Kindle edition, will I be able to read it in PC in both my home laptop and also office PC when I go to office. I have some technical computer books for which I want to do this. Thx.

You are able to move your books by connecting your Kindle to the PC. When it is connected, you should see an icon on your desktop that says "Kindle" you then click on that icon and open your "document" folder. Find your book and click and drag it to your computer.

The Kindle apps do not read PDF files. There are lots of apps available that do. Goodreader is a great one.

If books are from Amazon, they probably have DRM, and you have to re-download them for each copy of the Kindle for PC app. They should appear in your archives on all copies.

Helpful Indian, you definitely cannot copy Amazon books with DRM from your Kindle to your computer in order to read them. BUT, you can read them if you register the computer as a Kindle app on the same account. Then all of your books will show up in the archives on your Kindle for PC app, which will allow you to click on them to download whichever ones you want to read on the computer.

Ervin, if you have Amazon convert that PDF to a .azw file (or use some other tool to convert it), you will be able to read it in the iPhone Kindle app. The easiest way I know to get a Kindel-format file that isn't an Amazon purchase onto your iPhone is to attach your iPhone to iTunes and go to the Applications page for the iPhone. Scroll to the bottom of that to find a list of apps that allow files to be stored. Click on the Kindle icon. You will see an "Add" button that will allow you to choose the file to be moved into the app.
