I've added a lot of pdf files to my kindle and even when I rename them on my computer after I add them to my kindle they have names like 9232093582.pdf or "Unknown" in my Kindle home. It makes it really hard to find what I'm looking for! How do I change this?

I am using a Mac

Thank you

Try this link for some software that helps with that.

I understand that the Mobiperl programs that allow you to change titles and/or author information (e.g. mobi2mobi) will work on a Mac, but the Perl installation requires that you install a couple of libraries that aren't standard on Mac, as they are on Windows. Google Mobiperl and Mac, and you should be able to find out how to install it.

Kate, as Susan mentioned you can use mobiperl tools on a Mac. To learn how to set it up and use it, go to this link:

It sounds like these are files that you have emailed to your Kindle? If so, the title will be the name of the file as you attach it to your email. I don't know how to rename files on Macs, so hopefully someone else will chime in.

I have a Mac at the house ... along with my work PC ... I use the Mobi2Mobi scripts for the PC - this is one time where the PC is "better/easier" than the Mac ... - but one of the few!!

To insert a product link use the format: [[ASIN:ASIN product-title]] (What's this?)
